Hey Everyone,
ASCS is at TMS on September 15. It looks like only the National group is on schedule to be there. Is anyone aware of any drivers from different regions racing? I have never been to the dirt track there and am looking forward to going and hoping to see a big car turn out.
Thanks,
Kevin

For more information, you can go to the competitor website: www.darinshort.com/dtc.html (it also contains a lot of fan info).
The modifieds & limited modifieds run qualifying races on Friday, and their B's and A's are on Saturday.
The sprint cars run a complete show of heats, B(s) and A. There should be a fair amount of regional drivers present in addition to the national teams, it's a bit of a hard event to guess, but if I had to I'd say around 35. There's already a huge field of modifieds and limited modifieds pre-entered. (The sprints don't pre-enter.)

Thanks for the info guys. I'll probably have to sit this one out due to all the modifieds from what I am gathering. No disrespect due them, but I just dont enjoy them like I do sprints. Winter Nationals it is at Devils Bowl it seems.

A couple of notes on this race. First, there are no races scheduled in the Lone Star, Gulf South or Sooner ASCS regions on that night. I look for some of the guys from all three regions coming into the race at TMS if for no other reason, then to say they raced at TMS.
Also Saturday night, the mods start racing at 6 pm. I believe while the sprints will be the support class, they will be in between the main events for the mods. So I do not think you will have to seen through a bunch of heats. Going to be a fun show.
Don't forget we are having a car show with ASCS cars from 10 AM to 2 PM at the O'Reilly Auto parts on the corner of Belknap and 26th street in Haltom City on the 15th.
We have some tickets to for the race to give away at the car show. Thanks to TMS for the tickets.

Where is the dirt track located, in reference to the Speedway? Easiest way in/out from Decatur? Never been there, looking forward to the show.

There's a facility map loaded on the event website, but here's the direct link:
http://www.texasmotorspeedway.com/Visitor-Guide/Facility-Maps/Facility-Map.aspx
Upon your arrival at the main entrance (looking slightly left towards the Speedway Club), just proceed straight ahead when you get to the first stop sign and the Dirt Track is there on the East (right) side of the road.
