With the top two finishers transferring to the shake-up dash, Eastin dominated the 10 lapper winning by nearly ½ a lap. The radar threatened rain all day, but a brief shower was all the track got. The result was a tacky fast track that lent little passing in the heats.

Jamison led flag to flag. Gharst grabbed second from Phillips briefly early on. The two raced cleanly with Phillips pulling away on the cushion.

Porter grabbed the early lead, with Hetrick battling by on the third go-around. He walked away to win by almost ½ a lap.
Dash (started): 1. Eastin (4) 2. Hetrick (3) 3. Schulz (2) 4. Porter (1) 5. Phillips (5) 6. Jamison (6)
Eastin circled the front row with precision and led the 6-lap distance. Hetrick and Schulz staged a nice battle for second. Eastin drew a three to start third in the A.
B main (started): 1. Hull (1) 2. Schneiderman (5) 3. Gullo (7) 4. Goldesberry (4) 5. Weyant (2) / 6. Tripplett (8) 7. Tischer (6) 8. Avery (3) DNS – Harms, Moore
Hull led the 12-lapper flag to flag. Schneiderman moved into second early on, and Gullo picked his way forward to third nicely. Schneiderman raced side by side with Hull to the checkers when the leader got caught in lapped traffic.

Phillips jumped out to a stout lead early in the 25-lapper. The heavy track began slicking off through the middle as the leaders entered dense traffic. Gharst had surged forward by lap 12, threading the needle a couple of times in lapped traffic and to get by Eastin and Jamison. He passed Phillips on the 12th lap, but it was negated when Pinegar and Schulz made contact and spun in turn four. Both restarted at the rear. The restart saw Phillips leading Gharst, Jamison, Eastin and Hetrick back to green. Three more laps were in the books when Pinegar came to a stop and exited. On this restart, Gharst slid in front of Phillips for a lead he would never relinquish. Phillips car seemed to loosen up and on lap 20, he made heavy contact with the turn four wall. The final stoppage saw Gharst ahead of Jamison, Hetrick, Eastin and Sutton. Hetrick and Eastin battled hard for third, and two laps later, Hetrick contacted the wall and pulled pitside. Gharst won in convincing fashion, while nice charges were turned in by Sutton, Schneiderman who was the hard-charger and Urish. The win was Gharst's second at Lee County this year.
