This is probably a stupid question, but wanted to make sure there are gonna be sprints at the Tom Knowles this year. I know it's on the MOWA website as a date, but on the Spoon River Speedway website, there is no mention of sprint cars. Just says, Midgets, late models and modifieds. Just wanted to make sure before I make the two and a half hour drive.

I see Mowa is listed on their site now. Leaning toward this trip myself. Have a choice though of IRA 2 hrs WOO 3 HRS or Spoon River 4 Hrs drive. I have been to this track only once many years back and I may be mistaken but I seem to remember no beer sales at Spoon River. Does anyone know if this was or still is the case and if you can carry in. thanks

This is from the Spoon River Speedway Mobile website: "Cooler's my be carried in maximum 10" Wide X 14" Long X 12" Tall. NO EXCEPTIONS. It must fit in container Box. NO FOOD OR GLASS. $5 everytime through gate." And you're right, they now list MOWA as being there. I haven't been to Spoon River for years. Last time I was there facilities were a little rough but I always love the racing there.

Racey little Bull Ring, Haven't been back there since the year before the Mopar Million but always enjoyed the show there. I remember admiring the bravery of the flagman in that cheesy little flagstand he stands in.

I have a wedding this weekend so I am going to miss it again. It was not a big deal 3 or 4 weeks ago because MOWA was not on the schedule! This is the first I have heard of this and now would really like to attend this show. Little Cuzzin is getting married though and can't let him down.

If you think Spoon River is a racy "Little" bullring, you should go to Macon. Macon is truly a racy little bullring. Spoon river is almost a super speedway by comparison !
