It was the heaviest Calistoga that I had seen in over thirty plus years and the tire ware had nothing to do with the race results. (possible fuel problem but that didn't show up) I knew if the track was heavy that the tire wear would not be a worry at all. It was really harry for the little midgets as it was balls out racing.(narrow passing lanes) I was surprised they ran the midgets first because of the heavy track. In my opinion it would had not hurt the show at all to switch the show around. I knew this is why the track was dry slick the last thirty plus years and last night proved it. Those ruts that the sprints made in the main could had been a problem for the midgets.
The speaker system was like talking out of a fish bowl. It sucked!
