Scott what is the early entry deadline, the format, and purse structure for the Ovals this year? I can't and I know some others cannot find any info on the tracks website.

Looks Good, actually Great Smile

Nice format with heat races both nights.

Nice to see Friday's race have a good purse paying $5K (assuming it's a normal one night National purse, in the past I think Thursday and Friday night only payed $1500, could be wrong).

Quick question though, does any of the results on Friday have any bearing on Saturday Night's races? "Sat. Format Qualifying, Heat races= all cars qual in the top 32,cars qual.33rd on back go directly to one of the B Mains 4 heats 8 cars per heat top 4 qual.to be inverted top two go directly to feature all the rest to one of the B Mains 10 laps"

The way I read it, it doesn't.

Also no fuel stops for excessive cautions for the 40 lap race, sound good, but I would hate to see the race results affected by numerous/excessive cautions. Would suck if Spencer, Fass, Bernal etc were leading and ran out of gas with 2 laps to go. Wouldn't mine if a Midwest car ran out wink j/k

I would hope USAC could have some flexibitly ie if there were 15 or 20 laps of caution they would consider it.

No matter what, the format looks good for the fans, and the racers get paid on Friday Smile Let's hope the fans and teams support this new 2 day format and Perris makes some $ too.

Yes the points you earn from Friday carry over to Saturday, then they use your total points you've earned from both days to determine your starting position.
