I'm trying to retrace the history of a late 1970's or early 1980's Shores built sprint car.The last owner that I found and talked with from Michigan, said he bought the car out of Mansfield, Ohio and believed he picked it up at a trucking business or truck type shop. Also said car may have been mostly white in color. So, if anyone remembers having or knew someone who had a car like this from that area, I would appreciate any info or leads.thanks, RC

You beat me to it, George. I was going to recommend he get in touch with you. I figured you would know all about it, even though, "What happens in Mansfield, stays in Mansfield!" Have a great day, my friend.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

Well, the story is, the car was purchased from Kokomo Indiana. The exact name or identity of the car is a mystery but it was someone kind of well known. However, you had to go down a dirt road to get to the shop. Another tidbit, when the car was being picked up and taken back to Ohio, a severe snow storm popped up while the car was being looked over! So thats the next set of clues I need to pursue...I know its a needle in the haystack kind of things but if the right eyes see this....thanks RC
