Stephen Allard is a hot topic at Placerville Speedway and through the Civil War series.
With just an 8 point deficit standing between Allard and the championship, Allard has the crowed and the momentum going into the last race of the Placerville Speedway .
After a green flag start that lead to a 7 car crash, including the Russell-Arnold owned 14R car, Allard came from the back of the field with a bent race car that lost its brakes on lap 9. On lap 23 Allard passed second place Greg Decaires and had his sites on Andy Forsberg.
With no brakes, Allard smoked the Capital Ace Hardware, Thompson's Auto Center, Dale Miller Plumbing car around the high side setting up a drag race with Forsberg that would fall a car length short of the checkers.
