Sam Hafertepe Jr. won't be inviting Sammy Swindell over for a barbecue any time soon.
"I definitely had the better car," Hafertepe Jr said. "He had to pretty much drive through us to pass us."
Swindell rocketed off the bottom and slid across the nose of Hafertepe Jr., who said he had to nearly slam on the brakes to avoid a collision.

I loved Hafertepe's comment. Especially after watching him drive through Greg Wilson to win the 2010 Short Track Nationals. Same song, different day - the haters take someone's sour grape comments hook, line and sinker.

If his car was that much better, Sammy wouldn't have been there in the first place to be able to dirty slide job him. BTW, I don't like Sammy but a spade is a spade.
And yes, he flat out took Wilson out at the Short Track Nationals.

Hafertepe Jr. with 5 to go miss it in the mid of turn 2 also,,,, and Sammy wasn't close enough to strike....then the restart changed every thing....was a great race the old guys had their elbows up ...Steve and Sammy

I would like to say a few things to the brain dead MWILASKI, I have been around sprint car racing since 1979 and I am no expert in racing but Sprint car racing (as far as I am concerned) is the best racing in the world and I have my favorites, but I do not dislike or will not bash
any sprint car driver Steve Kinser is not one of my favorite drivers but he drives his A@# off and I respect him and love to see him race, where you(MWILASKI) get off on sitting behind a computer and busting Swindells balls and all of his fans I will never know He has the 2nd most WOO victories and still going strong into his late 50's, I would be surprised if you had ever been to a sprint car race and seen him drive. Hoseheads forum is a great place to discuss racing except for the idiots like you who get on and voice your senseless opinion, this is the first time I have ever written to Hosehaeds forum, but I am tired of Idiots like you(there are very few) getting on and posting stupid comments about the greatest racers(Sprint) in the world and their fans. So get out from behind your computer and go see a sprint car race and no matter who you like or dislike enjoy the racing. And yes I am a Swindell fan (Sammy and Kevin), but I still love SPRINT CAR RACING. So all I can say to you MWILASKI is grow up and just enjoy Sprint Car Racing.
