thanks for the copy of the rules..i hope before people commit to buying or building one of these Racesaver engines they check with competitors in other areas that run them.it was stated that you can build on for $5,000 however the word i an
m getting the figure is more like $12,500 to $22,000 for the high dollar bits.and if you want to spend this crazy amount of money you may as well go race a 360 car...anyway lets hear from the guys that race them ??

Well we built our own with new forged crank & decent rods for $4500. Used injection, used oil pan. You might spend $12000 with all new stuff but there is a lot of decent used stuff around.

I like the Racesaver rules. They are robust and eliminate a lot of grey areas.
I'm trying to figure out how IMCA fits in to this picture! IMCA adds no value!

IMCA gives the racer extra insurance on top of the tracks insurance. $100 membership few.
I agree with keith. If you build your motor with the idea your saving money and not go crazy there cheap to build. Now if you want everything brand new top to bottom your going to pay. You can use you 360 injection depending on what size it is.. I bought a legal short block for $200..

Would like information how they restrict the injectors with the 1.07 resistor for engines that don't comform to the race saver rules. Who makes these? Sounds interesting. Would like to get a 305 class going up here in the dakotas, but half the guys interested want to go with ASCS 360, some want the crate motor, some want the 305. Any info would be greatly appreciated...emal me at

From the link: For information on rules, or to order RACESAVER heads: Call RACESAVER Sprint Series @ 540-923-4541 or 540-923-4543
They should be able to answer any and all questions.
