Dirt Vision, you truly suck.

Tonight I decided to try to listen to your broadcast again. So far I haven't heard the end of a single one of the sprint car heat races as your broadcast has went silent for every one of them! When it comes back on the race and the finishing order is over.

Can't believe you can't get this right after all this time!

Again, you (still) suck!

Yeah its sad when local tracks consistently have better audio or video feeds than what is supposed to be the premier sprint car organization. Its freaking 2012!

They almost never fail to disapoint me if I'm sitting at home on a race night.

Wow. At least they just apologized on air. That's more than I expected.

I very much appreciate that they have any kind of broadcast. I understand they sometimes have issues, but I still find it amazing that I can sit in my living room and get to hear Johnny Gibson announcing.

Regardless of the issues, I give DV two thumbs up!

Do you have a suggestion on how to get great internet service at a rural track? A lot of these tracks don't have internet and if they do it's Hughesnet or some other crappy satelitte signal. They are using Verizon air cards for a lot of the races and then you are at the mercy of the cell signal. I applaud them for trying to put out a good product.

Dirt Vision radio broadcast is a free service cost nothing to attend I guess that's why the don't spend any $$$$ on service if race track doesn't have high speed internet axcess, they at times use a cell phone to broadcast.

I was on the chat form one night someone stated that they didn't feel the recieved a good value for the $69.99 they were charged for all of Dirt Visions Video's for the 2012 season Wow This user called RACEFANWFO and the Dirt Vision god who was in the form using big red letters let this poor person have it they were saying why don't you move on, call dirt vision and ask for a refund! I not sure but I believe this is how Dirt Vision makes ends meet charging for their Video service? you would think that Dirt Vision would have listen to this person and understand if not for people like that person their would be no Dirt Vision!Sounded and look like to me a outsider looking in these people that support Dirt Vision are not payed employess just a race fan that have nothing better to do then suport this company for free ? Yes I have never heard a good word about Dirt Vision as it seam they are truly a low rent provider that pays WRG to hang out with the Big Boys of sprint Car racing and is run and monitered by youger people that don't grasp that most sprint cars fans don't mind paying to attend a race and have no problem paying for Audio or Video streams but just want what is expected in todays society and feel ripped of if a company sets an expectation and dosen't deliver for free or a charged service ? I guess Dirt Vision just doesn't get it? supply a great service and charge a fair price ! nobody would have a problem paying a fair fee as long as they got what they expected.

What did you pay for the broadcast? Dirt vision usually works flawlessly. give them a break.

I'm not really complaining because the audio feed is free but who are you kidding to suggest that they don't have some serious issues with transmission on many occasions.

I guess I've just been lucky then because I've never had a problem with the races that I've listened to.

I'm just glad they are around. 20 years ago, we would have to wait until we got racing wheels news paper in the mail to find out who won.

Dirt Vision audio is FREE ! No it is not perfect each and every race, but with the new live updates you can figure things out. Some of the people that bitch about dv should be able to go to the tracks and help with getting a perfect audio feed,it is easy right? If you do n't want to use dv because the audio is not perfect all the time, all you have to do is go to the tracks and watch the race live.Let's see, gas to get there, food, tickets, hotels, lots of personal stuff because you will be away from home for a while, more gas, passport because we have to go to canada, laudry mats fun fun, don't forget quarters, credit card for when car needs service, call work and tell them you wont be there for a few months, wife&kids don't worry they will be there when you get home, sick oh it is only

Does anyone know if the Dirtvision audio broadcasts are archived like their video broadcasts so someone could listen to them at a later time?

I genuinely regret that I initially put this post on this board. By the time I got to that point it was too late to delete it, however, as people had already replied. I've since been hoping it would quickly disappear to a back page, but that has unfortunately not happened.

I wrote out of frustration and disappointment with not being able to hear something that I had been genuinely looking forward to.

That still wasn't a good excuse for posting this rant though, as I have no understanding of what Dirt Vision has to go through to try to make these broadcasts available to their listeners. It just seems like there is so much free content available on the Internet now that I lost patience with them over what at the time seemed like a lot of continued problems with their broadcasts when
I should have instead been more appreciative that they're making the effort to broadcast these races at all.

So thanks for making the effort Dirt Vision and I wish you better technological success with future broadcasts. And I apologize for going off on a rant when I'm old enough that I should have known better.

I will admitt that when DV does have problems, I do get frustrated. I'm sure that while we are being frustrated, they are running around like crazy trying to get it fixed. I'm just thankful that I'm able to get it for free ( I hear we can thank Jeannie Butler for that) and can listen to the best announcer there is.
