This event announcement is coming out early so Factory Stock drivers have plenty of time to get registered; LoneStar is racing August 25th and September 8th prior to this race, as previously scheduled.

LoneStar 9/29: $2,000/win Factory Night Special, Nationals Warm-Up & Season Championships
Kilgore TX (8/17/12) by DarinShort.com. Here’s a good old fashioned recipe that all race fans will enjoy:

-Step 1: Mix a huge batch of dirt slinging Factory Stocks from area tracks together, and divide them into qualifying races.

-Step 2: Take the top 30 and let them shoot it out for 30 laps – and the Top Stocker will take home $2,000 in cash!

-Step 3: Let fans witness the shootout for just $12.

-Step 4: And what do you get? A recipe for “Factory Night Special” at LoneStar Speedway that fans and teams will not soon forget!

And for a “side dish” the track will be serving up a “Nationals Warm-Up” for RaceSaver® sanctioned Sprint Cars. Using the identical rules published for the upcoming LoneStar Sprint Nationals (Oct. 11-13), this will give RaceSaver Sprint Car teams one last shot to get their car dialed in for the upcoming big LSN show that pays $2,200 to win and $400 down to 24th.

This will also give fans a “taste” of the action that will be witnessed over Nationals weekend. There is no preregistration for this division and complete purse and rules are published at the track website. Fans can expect several out of town teams to be on hand.

As if that isn’t enough on the “plate”, it’s also Season Championships night; with Modifieds racing for $1,000 to win and Limited Modifieds $500 to win. This is also the final point’s night for the Factory Stocks.

Over $22,000 in purse money is on the line at LoneStar Speedway on September 29th!

The “dessert” for the Factory Stock’s is the giant winner’s cup awarded to the winner. Make sure to check out the event flyer for a picture of last year’s that was won by DeWayne Pace.

Factory Stock drivers must preregister at: http://www.darinshort.com/FSN.html on or before September 26th (the Wednesday night of race week).

You can also view the event flyer at this link, as well as the latest in event news. Factory Stock car numbers will be assigned in the order they are received from registration; so if you have a number you want to run, you should register as soon as possible for the best chance of getting it. Preregistering by 9/26 will also save Factory Stock teams $50 over race night pricing.

The complete purse breakdown and rules are located at: http://www.LoneStarSpeedway.com

Here are some quick facts for the 9/29 event:

-Grandstands open at 5pm, with racing at 7:00pm. Pits open at 4pm

LoneStar “Nationals Warm-Up” Set for Sept. 29: Now Co-Sanctioned

KILGORE TX (9/21/12) by DarinShort.com. With the closing of a track hosting the season championship of the RaceSaver® sanctioned Louisiana Bayou Sprinters Association (LBS), their event has now been moved to LoneStar Speedway on September 29th in conjunction with the previously scheduled $1,000 to win and $200 to start LoneStar Speedway RaceSaver sanctioned “Nationals Warm-Up” event, presented by Bell Pawn in Jacksonville and Great American Classics of Lindale, TX.

The only difference being, drivers racing for LBS points will receive them at the September 29th “Nationals Warm-Up” at LoneStar Speedway…and fans will see an influx of new sprint drivers.

There are no changes to the previously published rules or event format. There is no entry fee.

A torrid three-car points chase in the LBS series is underway between points leader Marty Hargroder (1124 points), Ty Johnson (1116 points) and Herman Carrier (1116 points). The 2012 series champion will be crowned after the completion of the Nationals Warm-Up feature event.

In addition, the Louisiana Bayou Sprinters Association will be awarding a case of racing oil to the Hard Charger and one case of oil to Mystery Finishing Position in the feature race.

Heat races will be scored using the same LoneStar passing points system as in July. The published tire rules are also the same.

Those rules and format are published at: http://www.darinshort.com/SCN.html (which is the LoneStar Sprint Nationals).

Please click http://www.darinshort.com/FSN.html for complete event details and flyer. Visit http://www.LoneStarSpeedway.com for complete track information and directions. And at http://louisianabayousprinters.com/ you can learn more about the LBS series, as well as their Facebook page.

We would like to welcome the LBS group to their first official visit to LoneStar Speedway, and wish all the teams competing at the event the best of luck.

Join us for a blockbuster night of racing at LoneStar Speedway on Saturday September 29th, as in addition to the $1,000 to win Nationals Warm-Up for RaceSaver Sprints; the $2,000 to win Factory Night Special, $1,000 to win Modified and $500 to win Limited Modified season points championship events are also on tap. Adult tickets are just $12!

TODAY, Wednesday September 26, is the final day to get your Factory Stock team entered into the $2,000 to win Factory Night Special at LoneStar Speedway and save $50 over the race night pricing.

It is also very helpful to everyone to get pre-entered, as it saves everyone time processing the cars at the pit gate on race night.

If you've yet to enter, please go to: www.darinshort.com/FSN.html and get registered. The registration page will be up all day today and tonight...before early entries close.

Here's the early registration list, as of early in the day Sept. 26. And we usually process another 10-12 entries on the final day of registration (which is today), so we should be close to last year's numbers, which were 42 early entries received and 49 Factory Stocks raced.

We've received more entries than shown below, but some have not been completed, so they will appear once their registrations are complete. If you feel you have registered, and don't see your name listed, please forward your PayPal email confirmation to [email protected] so I can get it processed. THANKS again!

There are no changes in the scheduled races Saturday night at LoneStar Speedway.

We are keeping an eye on the weather, and as of 1:30pm Friday, NOAA is still showing a 40% chance for Saturday afternoon/evening; so, like everyone else, we will have to wait to see if anything develops or not between now and then. The track and pits can always handle a fair amount of precip prior to the event as it is. And if it comes down heavy, it just runs right off those high banks.

But one thing is certain, ANY change to any of the advertised events will be posted at the event website, www.darinshort.com/FSN.html and track website www.LoneStarSpeedway.com IMMEDIATELY, when known.

Right now, we're all headed full steam ahead to provide fans and teams with a stellar night of racing, this Saturday at LoneStar Speedway. Reminder, gates open by 4pm; so get there early to get signed in and situated. Draw closes at 6:30pm.
