It amazes me how Schatz runs regular season WOO shows at Knoxville and very seldom wins. Then on qualifying nights at the Nationals he again seldom wins. Then comes Saturday night and he is a half second a lap faster than any man in the field and has been for the last 7 years. It is amazing how he drives by the best of the best like they are in a 305. I guess he and Ricky Warner are the best clutch team in the history of ALL motorsports to dominate like they do when they need to. Of all the teams there, you would think somebody would at least get in the same zip code on setup for the feature but i guess they are that superior of a team. I never will understand how they can do it EVERY time. And i thought Carl and Steve were dominant. There's no comparison. Steve did have to work for SOME of his wins. Donny's has been a walk in the park.

One more lap and it was Brian Browns! Could of should of neither here nor there. Schatz has it together at nationals for racing but what a out not signing autographs and leaving after race. Won't gain any fans oh but wait he is with that NASCAR Stewart and Stewart put off signing for some also at Nationals. Brian Brown on the other hand took care of his fans after the races. Brian is a class act. Has time for fans and that my friend fills the stands at the dirt tracks and at NASCAR .

I would consider it a walk in the park as he did not have to battle anyone after he took the lead...never had to change his line to battle for lead...the only exciting part of the race was the last 300 yards...cool to see heskin get hard charger...put him and Donny next to each other and Donny wouldn't even compete

In the last 15 laps, the 21 was the fastest car on the track. He just ran out of laps...

Hawker is right on. Would have loved to seen BB win....but as we all know...and many have experienced first hand....."that's racing".

I would also like to remind you about Shane Stewart last year. He looked faster, he just had to come from deep in the field. In fact, I thought he could have taken Schatz with just a few more laps (nobody will ever know though). Schatz is clearly beatable, you just have to be on top of your game come Nationals time. ie. If Shane started farther forward last year???? If Brown didn't bobble in turn 2????

Yea, he's definitely beatable, been hearing that one for awhile. No one seems able to do it though.

I had the privilege of talking to a guy that used to race here and in Australia. He was talking about how when Donny first started racing down there, he was just average. But during every red flag, when other teams were just adding fuel/checking tires, Donny and crew were throwing on different shocks, changing anything and everything trying to find the perfect setups. After awhile of this, you could see him getting better and better. Sure Donny has the equipment. But don't downplay his driving ability and knack for setups. They have spent the time trying to perfect that setup and it shows.

Absolutely amazing. How is it possible? 6 out of 7 years, could easily have been 7 out of 7, then again it could have easily have been 5 out of 7, whatever, still just amazing. Has to be one of racing history's greatest accomplishments, certainly at Knoxville, and especially in this day and age when anyone can buy the exact same equipment as the next guy. It's a very very level playing field today. You pays your money and takes your choice. I wonder what the odds would be in Vegas for next year.

I see the comment made above that is Brown only had 1 more lap.
Maybe he should of had 1 more lap. For whatever reason they decided to run a 26 lap segment, and a 24 lap segment. Why didn't they run 2 25 lap segments. If they did, we might have a crowned a different champion.

They allow all chances of a yellow to happen first and then the flagman doesn't have to stop the race, if a yellow would have came at 20 laps I believe they would have used that as the stop then.
