Hats off to Toby Kruse on what i would consider a very successful first nationals, the only hiccup I could see was mother nature (she can be moody). He came in with very big shoes to fill and is doing a very admirable job. We middle aged and older fans only have so many race seasons left in us, glad to see he isn't afraid to try new things and hopefully attract the younger fan base .

I totally agree. This was my 16th Nationals and I enjoyed Friday for the first time. Nice that they ran the show in good time last night. Friday needs to end before midnight if possible. Great people in Iowa!

Friday's program was a huge upgrade over previous Friday formats.

I wasn't there but I did watch and/or listen to every single race that was broadcasted the last two weeks, and I will say that I'd rather watch what goes on in the infield at Knoxville Raceway then attend a race an hour from my house. The choreography it takes to do what they do and not skip a beat is unreal.
Definitely hats off to all that made it happen and have earned a well deserved rest. And that includes the race teams, broadcasters, and PR guys and gals as well. Thank you.

Start to finish, this was one of the best Nationals I've been to in the past 20 years. Wednesday was down a little, but weather caused that. Friday was a big improvement in my opinion. Final might not have had as much drama as some years, but there was good racing throughout the field if you looked for it. I think everyone walked in knowing that Shatz starting from the third row had to be the favorite, although I thought Craig Dollansky would have a little more for him.

Congrats to Toby and staff for an awesome nationals. He didn't start his position til about November
of last year so If the pessimistic fairboard members can let him do his job the way he wants it done
then the sky is the limit for that place. He still runs Marshalltown Speedway, Battle at the Barn, and
Toby K's Hideaway (a bar in Boone). Got alot on his plate but everything he's involved with has been
successful.
