mine shows up every month looking like it just came off the magazine rack.
if you have a beef, i'd talk to your postal employee about it.
the usps are the ones handling it, not the editors.
fire the post office,
just my 2 cents

My dad get this magazine and it is rare that the magazine shows up in good condition. Usually shows up with the covers bent or ripped and the magazine looking like a dog got a hold of it. His other magazines show up fine every month, so why only this one gets destroyed is a mystery.

About 10-12 years ago I took a tour of our local postal facility with my daughter's 2nd grade class. At that time all of the mail coming into San Diego came thru that building. The mail (including magazines) was machine sorted. It was clear from the speed and power of the sorting machines that the process could easily damage anything that ran thru them.

I've not had any problems and I get 10 magazines a month. It sure is not Sprint and Midget's issue...Post Office for sure buddy.

I've had continued problems with magazines arriving in deplorable condition and I have read other threads in the past on this subject that have complained about mutilated copies arriving. I have contacted both the post office and the editor and both blame the other. Sprint Car and Midget Magazine blame the post office and their handling of the magazine and the post office states that I am probably receiving the top magazine on the bundle and that this magazine absorbs all of the abuse in its travels. Very frustrating! That being said you are left with the choice of canceling the subscription or continue to accept what is arriving. I personally love the magazine and have a collection of all of the open wheel magazines as well as every Sprint Car and Midget Magazine so I guess I'll enjoy the magazine and relinquish its potential collectable value.

Yeah I highly doubt that they picked up a torn copy and said. " I guess this is NWFANS copy ship it pronto" Of course neither will take the blame, but as someone who has worked in shipping and receiving know for a fact UPS And Fed Ex drivers don't really give a rats ass if they damage your product, and 9 times out of 10 blame it on someone other than themselves. I've watched them Throw Direct TV receivers in the truck. When they come back damaged they would blame it on us. We knew it went out in one piece, because the company has standards. Just like S.C.A.M.M.'s do.(In your case kind of funny it's their Acronym) So I doubt it was the Mags. fault. Sounds like you have a Mailman that just don't give two shits if your Mag. is readable or not.

I have every issue from the 1st sure there are a few that are tore but I will not cancel because a back cover is tore now, if its real bad i might put some clear tape on it .Each magazine has about 100 pages so 1 page tore in half and another corner is only about .75% Ha Ha joking

I too feel your pain. I had same issue. In my opinion the problem lies totally on delivery process of USPS. The automated machines sometimes chew up the product, and the postman who delivers the product has no control over that, he just delivers as usual. I get other mags with similar problems. I get some magazines that come in a clear plastic cover, but then there is additional cost to the publisher for that. Just my .02 cents.

As someone that mails out media on a regular basis it has always been our policy to damage the product before mailing it. Its just plain fun!

The majority of the time mine arrive in good shape, and it should be obvious to any rational thinking person that when the magazine is damages, it happens after it leaves the hands of Sprint car & Midgets Magazine.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

The better question would be...
why is this magazine not offered in an on-line format?
I read my dialy newspaper on-line. I get numerous trade magazines on-line. I rarely get anything by the US Mail anymore.

My mag. shows up each month back page torn up bad. Most monthes it shows in a clear sleeving bag from the USPS with a note, stating they a sorry. I went to talk to the local post master, she stated that she thinks it is the type of gloss covers on the magazine. When it goes thru their sorting machines it slips then grabs the glossy cover pages. I receive 10 magazines a month and this is the only one ever torn up. I would suggest that Sprint Car Magazine looks into changing the gloss texture of the covers. I just read it and throw it away. I can't collect them like I did with other racing magazine.
