Love everything about Knoxville except for how a bad qualifying run can ruin your whole week. Need to put less empahasis on qualifying and more on racing!!!

You don't understand the reason for the emphasis on the qualifying do you?
Without putting a big emphasis on the TT lap teams would sandbag during qualifying to avoid the invert.
Without the high value of the TT lap the heat races would be just as boring as they are at 95% of the WoO races.
The high value of the TT lap makes the racing better.
