Had trouble with that link some extra characters in there messing it up.
Cut and paste this one should work.
That car was here in a small private museum off 5 Freeway a few years ago. The museum closed; I'm not sure where it is now. What a gorgeous car.

That car was here in a small private museum off 5 Freeway a few years ago. The museum closed; I'm not sure where it is now. What a gorgeous car.

I had to do some work to find the car. But the article that accompanied the pictures was well worth it.

Speedy Bill from Speedway Motors bought it and it's in his museum. The Tamale Wagon and the Andy Gump car brought $115k each. Seems like Jack Jory bought a PPI Tide cup car that Ricky Craven drove or some other car. The Wells family that owned PPI was a neighbor of mine (boy, I wish I had married Becky).
I wish I had hit the lottery of something to buy out the McPherson collection. I would have loved to have bought the Gurney Eagle
