Does anyone know the actual race format for Friday night of this year's Nationals? Heat invert, number of heats, feature invert, etc...

1-lap qualifying. 7 heats, 8 laps each, 4 invert - top 2 to the A. 3 B-Mains (not sure of the laps, assuming 12 or 15) - top 2 to the A. Top 4 in qualifying that haven't transferred through the heats or Bs added to the rear of the A. 25-lap A-Main (not sure of the invert, probably 8).

I checked with John McCoy (Knoxville Race Director) today...Friday's B-Main laps will depend on car count, so it could be 12 or could be 15. Also, no invert in Friday's A.

WOW. What a show this will be. About 80 cars. Stacked field. 7 heats, 3 B's, 1 absolutely loaded A feature. Plus the World Challenge. 12 races that should all be amazing. Add in the Drama of filling Saturday's A. Great change by Knoxville. I will call it now, everyone will leave Sunday saying Friday night was the best night of sprint car racing for the entire Sprint Weeks. I'll congratulate Knoxville now for the best change ever made to the Nationals.

I agree. This will be a much better event than the scrambles.
