I was checking in @ The Cow Palace's web site reguarding tonights festivities...as suspected, it rained out...
However, I noticed that it is now a one day show that only pays 10K instead of the previously advertised 20K winners share...SCREWED... :/
Opinions may vary...

That's the way the WoO contracts have been with two day shows going all the way back to the Ted Johnson days. If the first night of a two day show gets rained out, the second day reverts to a "regular single night purse". Unfortunate for the drivers yes, were they screwed no, they understand the contracts and the economics of the situation. It will still be an entertaining show tomorrow, the drivers will still run as hard, even if it is for a paltry $10,000 to win.

So you are saying that if the Knight before last friday would have rained out... they would have ran the Kings Royal for 10 grand?
Before you say the kings royal is a "non-sanctioned" event... why was all the outlaw officials there and calling the shots?

In light of this purse cut, surely the admission price will be lowered as well.

dont think so, wgrove is slipping up in just about everything since lohl took over. go there tomm and try putting a tent up for the night, $30. three years ago $10 for the whole weekend. at least now they dont have to worry about anybody punching that chick security gaurd in the face. that was coming soon enough!

If it's any consulation to the teams that compete, at least they'll get to see double firewurks...

Sprintfan 714,you are correct,Roger Slack should have came to The Grove instead of Big E.Ever since Loh has been there the place has been spiraling downward,oh,someone please buy the place and bring it back to the premier speedway it once was, contract or not the teams still get screwed by the lower purse, its advertised as 20K to win it should stay 20K,and get rid of the Morgan cup and put that money in the purse, the funny thing about all this Williams Grove doesn't need the Outlaws, they have so many "hot runners" they could run their own tour and still have cars left over. Oh,yeah@Come on Tony get wallet out and buy the place before Kathy sells it Charter Homes and they put the money into Carl Edwards Ford.Five years and it'll be history the real estate grubbers are just lining up.

Man, I can't wait to see those 55 posse cars roll into Knoxville this year, should help car count considerably.

dsc1600, thats a scream, they will roll in and roll right back out too. They are legal too,no big 440 motors in the Posse and no traction control either, you just duct tape her feet down to the mattress. Now thats a scream you hear, not a Parker Chevy.Them Knoxville girls sure eat a lot of corn and drink lotsa' milk. Big headlights in Iowa, your feet can barely reach the dimmer switch.

The Outlaws don't have 10 teams that can make a feature at Williams Grove Speedway much less win one. Pennsylvania, the Provisional State.

The truth finally sneaks out of cubes mouth. Anyone else notice when he speaks of the best of the best in all the land, he calls them "outlaw caliber" and not "pusse caliber"?
Can't back out of that one pube.

also if its a two day show first feature pays 8 grand and second nites feature either paays 10 grand in may and 20 grand in july and as for national open first feature pays either 88-10 grand and nat open pays 50 grand BUT since last nites program was rained out ; tonites ONLY payes 10 grand NOT 20 as adverstized because of rain out; all the crews and drivers know this INCLUDING Grove regulars so its no secret okay !! its been like that ever since woo start paying 10 grand to win; even bback in ted johnson days first nite less than second; so its no real big deal !!
