Great to hear that Jeff Gordon is involved with sponsorship of Paul Silva's 57 Sprint car. The sponsorship will come through Jeffs Kick It foundation.

Shane Stewart Set To Kickoff Kick-It Sponsorship at Knoxville Nationals

Shane Stewart Set To Kickoff Kick-It Sponsorship at Knoxville Nationals

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (July 17, 2012) – Last year’s Knoxville Nationals 360 winner and 410 runner-up Shane Stewart is set to Kick-It with the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation in Knoxville this summer. Kick-It will be the primary sponsor of the No. 57 Sprint car fueled by Silva Motorsports and driven by the 2011 National 360 Sprint Car Driver of the Year.

Kick-It is a grassroots fundraising movement dedicated to improve and accelerate advancements in pediatric cancer research by inspiring individuals across the country to play kickball. By organizing a game, joining a team or making a donation, you are helping thousands of children fighting cancer.

“I’m committed to bringing awareness to childhood cancer and our Kick-It program, “said Gordon. “This sponsorship will help us reach markets we otherwise wouldn’t.

“Shane Stewart is a talented driver and we are confident this will be a successful partnership, both on and off the track.”

The Kick-It paint scheme will make appearances on the #57 Sprint car at the 360 & 410 Knoxville Nationals scheduled to be held on August 2 – 4 and August 8 - 11, the Skagit Dirt Cup in Seattle Washington to be held on August 30, the Skagit World of Outlaws in Seattle Washington scheduled to be held on August 31 and the Gold Cup World of Outlaws in Chico, California scheduled to be held on September 6-8.

“I am proud to have my team associated with Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation and the Kick-It program,” said Paul Silva owner of Silva Motorsports. “As a new father, this cause is very important to me. Every child should have the chance to be a kid.

“Hopefully, our involvement will help raise support and awareness in the fight to end childhood cancer.”

“What a great way to help raise awareness for kids that need our help in the fight to beat cancer,” said Shane Stewart. “I am honored to be driving the #57 Kick-It car.”

Stewart and Silva are a winning combination. Together, they have captured the 2009 and 2011 Lucas Oil ASCS Champion titles, three time 360 Knoxville Champions titles and, the pair have also finished fifth, third and second in the past three Goodyear Knoxville 410 Nationals.
