Reinke's night would have ended the same as it was a dnf. Give the guy credit he ran in the top 5 all night long most likely would have been in the top 4.

I give Mike all the credit in the world and I was just as disappointed as anyone that he didn't get the finish that he deserved. My point is that no matter how good the local guys are at Wilmot, it is still going to take some luck to come out on top. Right qualifying draw, inversion draw, etc...it's gotta go your way to have a chance. Take away the dnf, and Mike absolutely did a great job at BD, but he also had some luck on his side. I guess it's the same for everyone, but I just hope those same stars line up for a couple of the local guys against the All-Stars because I'd love to see Mike, Balog, Kertscher, Sexton, Neitzel, or whoever start up front in the A. I'll be pulling for any and all of the them to take home the 5 G's!

obviously Bill is great too, but Sexton in particular runs VERY strong at wilmot. pretty sure he's won the track championship there a couple years running now.

They raced at Fonda, NY last night, then race at Hibbing, MN on Tuesday with Wilmot smack dab in the middle tomorrow night. Let's hope most if not all the top points guys show up. They have to come right past here anyway. Plus, from what I am reading, the All Stars call what they are doing right now, "The Thunder Through The Plains" and it is carrying with it a separate $10,000 point fund, so maybe that means a lot for a good car count. This is copied and pasted from their website.....
From New York, the UNOH All Stars will then head west for the traditional Thunder Through the Plains, which features at least nine races and carries its own $10,000-to-win point fund for the Great Plains Region.
It kicks off Saturday, July 21 at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wisconsin, in the Kenosha County Fairgrounds (www.wilmotraceway.com). The track is a semi-banked 3/8-mile oval
The UNOH All Star event at Wilmot is co-sanctioned with the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series. Tickets are $25 for adults with kids ages 8-11 $5 and those 7 and under getting in free.
The IRA sprints have raced at Wilmot three times in 2012 with multi-time series champion Billy Balog scoring two wins and Tommy Sexton taking the other.
The UNOH All Stars then head to Hibbing Raceway in Hibbing, Minnesota (www.hibbingraceway.com) for a Tuesday, July 24 event. There is a rain date of July 25 for this event. Motter Equipment is the night’s sponsor.

from wilmot's site (http://www.wilmotraceway.com/);
See multi-time All-Star Champion and 2010 Knoxville Nationals Winner (The Steel City Outlaw) Tim Shaffer, multi-time All-Star Champion and past Kings Royal Winner (The Buckeye Bullet) Dale Blaney, 2012 WoO feature winner Paul McMahan, PA’s Pete Miller, plus two of the sports young rising stars in David Gravel, and Cap Henry as they take on our region’s best in Bill Balog, Tommy Sexton, Mike Kertscher, Mike Reinke, Scotty Neitzel, Phillip Mock, and many more as they aim for the $5000 winner’s share. Of course Wilmot’s Don’s Auto & Machine / Hoosier Tire Modifieds and Fec’s Place / Outlaw Race Parts Mini Sprints will provide their share of on-track highlights too as their respective point battles are creating plenty of drama.

The way I see it, is that these are two series that have a pretty decent full points contingent, and in my opinion, anything less than 40 cars is a disappointment.

U are a comlete moron. Why would u want a bunch of guys out there that are just gonna get in the way? Only 4 or 5 IRA guys should show. I hate when these guys that have no business being out there show up and add nothing positive. Btw, Sexton has no fricken chance. Good car though. Put Geoden or Hensley in that car and see a bunch of wins/

I knew it was a matter of time until this troll added his stupid opinion. I would like to see 40+ cars in the pits. Do you want to see only 10? Balog, Sexton, BK, Warren, Uttech, Reinke, Neitzel, Kertscher (if he shows up) all have a good shot at this thing.
I tell it like I see it.

The All Stars will only be bringing 5 more cars:
Tim Shaffer, Danny Smith, Cap Henry, Paul McMahan, David Gravel. There might be a couple more travelers stopping in if they are participating in the Thunder Through the Plains Tour.
Imagine MOWA being off I would think Goldensbury and Moughan would be there.
Should be a great night of racing at Wilmot.
Off to the Horsepower 1/2 mile tonight at Dodge County for another great show.

It would suck if a co-sanctioned event only brought 5 or so cars from one of the groups. If that is all that would show up, why bother sanctioning the show? And 5 more cars does not justify the added cost of admission....So, I am hoping you are wrong.... JMO

What about Dale Blaney or Greg Wilson? Don't they normally run this circuit?

As of Wednesday, Greg Wilson was running Attica on Friday and Saturday was up in the air yet. And it sounds like earlier this week, Dale's rig broke down, so who knows? Jac Haudenschild has on his site that they'll be at Hibbing, MN on Tues, so I'm hoping there's a chance they'll be at Wilmot too. Anyone know what Jerrod Hull's plans are?
"They'll learn."
