New Product that I am proposing on the TV Show Shark Tank, It's called Swindell in a Bottle...Just one bottle and you will instantly become Sammy Swindell....By drinking this drink you will inherit his skill, ability, stamina, passion and shortcomings..You will inherit his knowledge, demeanor, attitude and personality...Would you buy my product and invest in my company??

Nah, Larson will waste away in CRAPCAR land! I'll buy the bottled Sammy! Larson is talented but has a loooooong way to go to reach Swindell-Kinser status.

Is this a new product or rebranded Pissed Off Energy Drink? (PO-ED?)
Either way...I will take a case.

It is normal to experience side affects such as: losing personality, talking monotone, developing wrinkles, and you may find it fun to wreck others around you while driving.

I could care less if he just won the Daytona 500 or a go-kart race in someone's back yard. Still doesn't change my view of him.

I have this new idea too!!!! I call it an online forum. It will revolutionize the way sprint car fans interact. Imagine this. Any time your driver wins, you can go onto this "forum" and post any ridiculous comment about how he is the greatest thing to ever walk the earth. I'm not just talking a simple "congrats" or "that was one heck of a race". You can post whatever your little heart desires. Heck, you could even say your driver could beat Churck Norris in a staring contest (impossible). And get this... people will disagree with you (how dare they!!!). So then you can get into a pointless argument about who is best, who has no talent, and who wrecked who. Here is the kicker, no matter what your opinion is, somebody else can call you an idiot (and vise versa). I still have some kinks to work out, but I think it will sweep the sprint car nation!
What do you guys think? (insert eye roll and sarcasm)

Some people and their wild ideas, next your gonna tell me in the future we'll pay $80 a month for some fancy new cordless phone we can take everywhere with us.
Does anybody know when there gonna release the new K car body style, I think these things are gonna revolutionize the auto industry.

Woah woah woah. How did you hear about those?!?! I can see there has been a leak in my R&D department! :D
Haha just messin around guys. There is no doubt, Sammy can drive.
Can flat out wheel a sprint car. I don't car for him, but there is no
hiding the fact that he is good. It's also no secret that he is
monotonous and lacking in personality. I think these debates will
continue well after he retires... he is just that kind of driver.

Wow no real stupid posts yet. Cant be much longer I am sure. As a Sammy fan for the past damn seems like eighty years I appreciate when the non Sammy fans at least try to be funny. Good job so far. I do have to give a shout out to Madsen and the Prince. Both are serious gassers and have to be in the top five contenders for the Nationals.

MMM, Sammy has lots of personality to those that know him and have spent time with him away from the track, he has a wicked, dry sense of humor as well. Thank God we are all a little different, that's what makes this planet so great. An old cliche is pretty ripe and spot on (as my Aussie friend would say) don't judge a book by it's cover. Another thing comes to mind with Sammy, don't ask him a question when you don't want to hear the answer, he'll look you right in the eye and tell you what he thinks, more power to him for that.....

What MSPN said...
FYI - Sammy Swindell could care less what you think of him. He takes great delight in taking your money in the winner's circle.

That may very well be, but from my perspective (and most fans I have talked to) he lacks in personality. You can pretty much say that about anyone "Those that know him". I don't doubt one bit that he is witty. All I am saying is many fans don't get to see that side of him, and therefore we call it how we see it (and have seen it for many years).
And as far as him taking my money. I am sorry sir, but you are wrong! My money goes to the other drivers . When I buy my tickets, I specifically say which driver I want my money to go to. I bet none of you do that! :D (obviously complete sarcasm)

I did video production ([email protected]) for 20 years at every track with sprints in the west and had several interactions with Sammy in the capacity thru the years. Then . . . .
He drove a couple nights for Clyde Lamar in the 3C car at Calistoga. Clyde is a friend and thru that connection had a totally different experience with Sammy. We ate together and interacted around the car during prep work etc. We put an in-car camera on the car in a time before GoPro. I had him look thru the view-finder and asked him to consider where the car is pointing in the corners and aim it to get the view he has while on the gas.
What I'm saying is, Nelligan is right about his personality away from the crowd and the dry wit that is quite evident in the more personal environment. I was floored by the difference . . . . . !!
