I'm taking Sammy for Saturday night...nothing like that Al Parker power on the big tracks coupled with Sammy being Sammy...I think it's almost a lock.

Oh, yea, it's a lock. He is so good at making his tires and cars last, especially on an abrasive track like Eldora. He's a shoo in. ha ha.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

You gotta remember Sammy's luck though. Should've been King Sammy the 28th. Your Lock vs His Luck. I'm pulling for Daryn Pittman. He's done it once. Let's see if he can do it again!

are.

Sammy is such a party pooper, his victory lane interviews, sounds like he is about to fall asleep. I was hoping TK would win just so we could see an extremely awesome victory lane celebration lol.

Were it not for bad luck, or maybe bad parts you know Sammy would have another Royal and Nationals Title Chris, how much would that hurt? You are one of the first people I think of every time he wins which reminds me of something Terry McCarl once said to me in Florida. He had just won a race with a last lap pass of Fast Freddy Rahmer and when I see him after the race he tells me that the first thing he thought of was me, lol and that's something he hadn't planned on and it bugged him....

When Sammy has 20 championships; 12 Knoxville Nationals; 7 Kings Royals; 4 National Opens; 12 Gold Cups; Over 570 A Feature Wins then maybe you can call him that !

It is good to see the old badger carving out a living doing what he has for all these years. Hell a lot of us have been in and out of jobs or plodding along at the same one for 25 years. Put yourself in his shoes for all these years and all those hot summer afternoons getting cars ready to go around in a circle to entertain us. How many of us are passionate about doing the exact same thing we were 30 years ago? Have to hand it to him for staying engaged and driven.
