I don't believe Eischens is open on sundays.
If the track turns out like it did on July 4 this should be a darn good show..
Would be nice to see a 30 car field.

Well the place is in good hands. Encouraging to hear they had good track conditions recently, especially during this time of the season.
I'd love to see 30 cars too - the potential is definitely there.
Either way it should still be a great show. It's just a question of an extra heat and B Main or 3 stout heats and a packed A main. If the Sooner state teams join a stout Jayhawk contingency - hell that alone would make for nearly 30. Really it is splittin' hairs. A quality sprint car race at a quality track under quality management........allows hope to run fairly high for an enjoyable evening of sprint car racing.
I do wander what to expect with the 4 stock car classes though. Any clue/guess on that?

Just saw that Round 3 of the Red River Rivalry ASCS Sooner vs. Lone Star is that Saturday night. I don't think it will have a huge impact though - if anything could be a positive as the Sooner Region teams head back north. Hope several head to Enid.
Sure wish these races weren't always scheduled in conflict. On the surface - sure seems like there are plenty of weekends that each series could have to itself rather than running on the same weekend while also sharing most of the same off weeks. But it's also been this way as long as I can remember - and they all still do fine.

The sport mod class had a full feature July 4.
The street, factory, and pure run anywhere from 8 - 15 cars per class.
How much difference is there between the ASCS cars and the NCRA? I know last year when 81 speedway had the big 3 class opener Humboldt was rained out and some of the cars came to 81. Ended up with 60+ sprints. That would be freakin' awesome.

I asked the same question last year. The only difference is in the tires that can be ran. Don't know the specs, but obviously only a slight variation between the 2 groups, as many compete in both.

My only concern would be time. Starting at 7pm on a Sunday is great and all, but 4 classes of stock cars kinda scares me. If the show is run efficiently it should be done by 10:30 if it starts on time. All that traffic on the track prolly means everyone (drivers) will get their wish and get a dry slick track. Hell, still gonna be cool going to Enid, I've never been. Just looking forward to continuing my support of local Oklahoma dirt tracks!

Budman,
Maybe we will get lucky and pick up a bunch of the ASCS guys.
SFSfan,
On July 4 we were out of there about 930-945 with the fireworks. The street stock class usually only has 10 cars or so, will only add 2-3 races. Figure maybe (hopefully) a B for the sprints and 10-1030 would be a pretty good guess to get out of there.
The track on July 4 had a nice high groove and was very racy most of the night. 2 and sometimes 3 wide. It was the fastest I had seen the track in quite some time.
And no there is no Hooters in Enid. I am assuming there is a back story to that question though.

Did they get the lights up and running after the wind storm? I thought they had significant damage, were starting races early to finish before dark???

If the person who does the NCRA PR does his job correctly and gets the word out ahead of time, I would figure on 30 plus on the sprints. As mentioned above, a full field of sport mods and probably enough for two heat races and features for the other divisions.
