I think this sums up nicely the absurdity of the last week of posts on Mr Larson:
P.A has always been where the weekly professionals camp. It is where
car owners hire drivers based solely on their ability to win
consistently. All of this brings an air of arrogance. Rest assured, if
boy wonder leaves the Quaker State with his ego as bruised as most
first-time outlaw visitors, the drunks of Beer Hill will poke holes in
everything he has done to date.
Believe your own eyes. Or listen to Dale Blaney after Larson blew by
him at Orrville. “We’re going to be watching him race on Sundays for a
lot of years,” said the brother of a NASCAR driver generally done before
Sunday’s first commercial. Shane Stewart could not outrun Larson on any
of their four nights. “We’re going to have to put a sniper in the trees
and shoot one of his tires out,” Shane joked.
