Sprint Cars Return to TMS – Port-A-Cool® USNDTC Registration Now Open!
Ft. Worth TX (7/4/2012) by DarinShort.com. After an absence of several years; the high speeds, excitement and drama of Winged Sprint Car racing returns to Texas Motor Speedway’s Dirt Track with the running of the Port-A-Cool® U.S. National Dirt Track Championship on September 14th and 15th. In addition, online registration for the Modifieds and Limited Modifieds to the event opens today.

The Winged Sprint Cars will feature the stars and cars of the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series. The Winged Sprint Cars will race on September 15th, and fans can expect a great field of drivers including: Wayne Johnson, Jason Johnson, Brady Bacon, Johnny Herrera, Brad Loyet, Tony Bruce Jr., Danny Wood, Seth Bergman, Dustin Morgan, Gary Wright and many more from throughout the region.

The Modifieds and Limited Modifieds will compete in qualifying races on Friday September 14th and their last chance qualifiers and championship feature events will be contested on September 15th. The Modifieds will be racing for $3,000 to win and $750 to start (24th), while the Limited Modifieds will have a winner’s check of $2,000 awaiting them with $400 to start (24th).

Modified and Limited Modified drivers will have two provisional starters added to each of their championship features – but they will be drawn from pre-entered drivers, so don't miss out on this second chance! Early registration ends on August 31st, 2012.

By clicking http://www.darinshort.com/dtc.html all competing race teams can take advantage of this online registration convenience and view the event site.

At this special registration website, there is a link for the Modified and Limited Modified divisions to pre-register their team, and for all race divisions to purchase advance 2-day pit passes (saves $10), reserve a paved pit space (while supplies last) and sign up for practice night, which will be held on Thursday September 13th. Car numbers will be assigned on a first-entered basis, so enter early for the best chance to get yours.

Teams can pay using any major credit or debit card and all transactions are secured through PayPal, an eBay company that has soared to over 110 million active accounts. You can make multiple purchases on the registration section within the same transaction, which will save you time and typing. When you are on the registration page, continue to select ‘add to cart’ items until you are finished and a separate window will contain the items you have selected. You can also edit the invoice before you make your final purchase. You do not have to be a PayPal member to use this service.

Printable event schedules, complete purse breakdown for all race divisions, rules and more can also be found at the link listed above. If you would prefer to enter by mail, there is an event flyer at the above link that you can print, fill out and mail in your payment. For those not familiar with the TMS layout, there is also a link to a map of the property.

Port-A-Cool has announced a very 'cool' bonus to each of the three U.S. National Dirt Track Championship winners: The Sprint Car, Modified and Limited Modified A-feature winners on Saturday September 15th will receive a Port-A-Cool Cyclone 3000™ - a value of $849 each! The Port-A-Cool Cyclone 3000 centrifugal air delivery system provides 700 square feet of temperature cooling, in a portable and small footprint design. Texas based Port-A-Cool is thrilled to be involved with this event, and offers practical and affordable products that all racers and race fans can use to stay cool!

Race fans can purchase grandstand tickets to this great weekend of racing by clicking www.TexasMotorSpeedway.com. There is no charge for grandstand parking. Outside food/drinks are not allowed through the ticket gates. Hot laps are 5pm on Friday (races at 6pm) and races are at 6pm on Saturday. A practice night is scheduled for Thursday September 13th at 6pm; however the main grandstand is closed.
