This coming Saturday, July 28th, is shaping up to be an exciting night
of racing when the LoneStar 25 for RaceSaver sanctioned Sprint Cars
takes on the high banks of the wide expanses of LoneStar Speedway in
Kilgore.
Over $8,000 is up for grabs to RaceSaver Sprint Car
teams and there is no entry fee or increased pit charge. RaceSaver teams
can continue to choose either the SST or STS RR tire at all 2012 LSS
RaceSaver sanctioned events. Adult grandstand admission is just $12.
Right
now, the long range forecast shows daytime highs of 95; however cars
don't hit the track until 8pm when the sun is primarily behind the
grandstand, so it should be great weather for racing.
Joining the
LoneStar 25 will be a complete program for the Ark-La-Tex Winged
Modifieds (making their first 2012 LSS appearance), plus a complete
points event for the LoneStar Speedway Modifieds ($1000 to win), Limited
Modifieds ($500 to win) and Factory Stocks ($300 to win).
Please click http://www.LoneStarSpeedway.com for event flyer, details, directions (I-20 at exit 583), complete payback (listed under 'resources') and rules.
Join us this Saturday at LoneStar Speedway for a great night of racing at family-affordable prices!

7/24 AM UPDATE:
In the event that there are RaceSaver teams that
don't qualify for the feature race (24 starters) July 28, they will each
receive $100 in non-qualifiers money.
There are several teams
that have indicated they are traveling a distance to come to this event,
so we are guaranteeing this additional purse in the event there is a
B-feature.
Reminder, this is a RaceSaver sanctioned race and it
will follow RaceSaver.com rules; so plan to have your engine teched for
compliance. SST or STS RR tires are your option.
We would like
each driver to state which Series they are representing when they sign
in (LBS, STS or SST); as the top finishing driver in each 'series' will
receive a $100 cash bonus, as previously advertised.

LoneStar 25 - RaceSaver Sprint heat race qualifying system for the Feature race(s)
150 (points for winning your heat, drops by 3 points/finishing position) 147 144 141 138 135 132 129 126 123...
Plus you will receive 1.5 points per car passed from your starting position.
Darin will be compiling points and posting feature lineups, in case drivers have any questions you know who to direct them to.
Any ties will go to whoever raced in an earlier heat. (in other words if two drivers earn 150 points and one received them in heat race one and the other in heat race three; then the driver in heat race one will win the tie). If two drivers tie in points from the same heat, the tie will go to the driver who started in the closer to the back.
(This is the same points format used for heat races at the LoneStar Sprint Nationals.)
Feature race will be straight up based on compiled heat race points.
Top 16 in points from heats to A feature (assuming 25 cars or more in field there will be a B feature).
B feature(s) straight up by compiled heat race points. 8 cars from the B(s) will advance to the A.
24 cars start A feature, 25 green flag laps. RaceSaver Sprints are scheduled to run earlier in the event order, tentatively 2nd class out.
