Sad to see these low car counts and races having to be filled in with 360s but fans still paying full dollar. Is what it is I guess

Look at where they were racing at this weekend, that is 360 country. So by your logic when the WoO is in PA or in Iowa the fans should have to pay more since there will be 40 plus cars????

Sure if there were 40 410s I would. Thank you to the 305s that showed up. After 3-4 laps like 6 cars pull off cause they are 360s Hell that's why the ASCS rules in the Midwest you actually get a decent show of cars and have a B and an A.

seems as though the woo-zers charge so dam much for the promoters to put on the show that we will (always) pay more. their west coast swing is coming up soon so i had better go get a second mortgage..LOL
last year at the gold cup 45 bucks.......
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..
Life is good...

I can't blame you guys. Hell I won't pay 20 or 25 dollars for a USAC show. Way to much money for a race that I can pay 10 or 12 dollars to see the same people racing on any given weekend. On second thought I would pay 40 or 50 dollars for WOO the best sprint car drivers in the country that may come by once or twice a year. Yeah.... I would.

Not all tracks are like here in Pa where the WOO can pull cars from so in other words people NOT all tracks run 410 sprint weekly thats why for a low car count and it was over 100 degrees there in ks the last 2 nites !!!

I also think that due to the fact that the amount of full-time drivers with the WoO going down year after year it has seemed to make fans lose interest in going to see a WoO show. In the past few years they have lost Daryn Pittman, Jac Haudenschild, Paul Mcmahon, Jason Meyers, Jason Sides, Danny Lasoski, Tim Shaffer (to name a few) and Steve Kinser and Sammy Swindell don't have many years left. I always have enjoyed going to WoO shows but they seem to be going down hill as of late when it comes to there shows. Personally, I like 410 racing more than 360 but from what I have seen, the ASCS puts on a better show with how its laid out.

Last night I was looking at a WoO ticket stub from August 1987, price for reserved seating was $20! 25 yrs later I paid $32 at my last Outlaw show, not too bad of an increase over 25 years. The 1987 WoO show had 31 sprinters, my last 2012 WoO show had 40 sprinters. Still the Greatest Show on Dirt bar none!

The "bottom line" is what drives business and the WOO puts butts in seats! That is why they can charge the higher prices. Most WOO shows are packed because they are the best group of drivers, hands down! But... Steve and Sammy ARE the driving force in WOO racing. How often will you go see WOO after Steve retires?
Just my opinion but I think we've seen the "golden years" of sprint car racing and I predict the WOO will not survive very long after Steve retires.

They fielded 36 cars in Grand Forks a couple weeks back and Fri. and Sat. night were both great races, worth every penny of admission.

That's what I am talkin about. I'd pay 40 bucks to see that. Going to see an A main of 18 410s and the rest is 360s isn't worth it. I'd pay good money also to watch 40 360s also. I bet the barley pops in Grand Forks was also awesome!!! Well Knoxville can't get here soon enough.

The tickets were actually $35 for reserved and I think only $25 for GA in Fargo and Grand Forks and the stands in Grand Forks were packed in. A good crowd in Fargo too, its just they have more seating in the grandstands so it doesn't get as packed.
And your right, there was plenty of beer to drink both in the stands and the parking lot.
