looks like a lot of damage. The 1a team is putting the car back together with help and parts from other teams, in efforts to be ready for tonight. I like when the other teams help out another racer when he is in need.

Sure glad the driver wasn't stuck in the car, could have been ugly. All tracks need fire extinguisher all around the track. Glad he got out, and is ok. Could have saved the car with 1 fire extinguisher.
Great run Kyle, keep it going.

Gravel had some speed too, its too bad he got too high and hit the fence, I think if that wouldn't have happened he'd of been hard to catch. Good racing though.

I find it hard to believe that in this day and age the AllStars would run at a track with such an absolute pitiful fire protection unit.I ,if a racer, would have some choice words for the All Star management in their failure to have fire men there with real extinguishers in a very timely manner,no excuses for this kind behavior in any racing series, some of the best fire protection I have ever seen was at mini-sprint tracks in Pa. and go kart tracks and quarter midget races in many places, these people at Cannonball are out to lunch, they are so lucky the young man was out of the car,in this day and age no excuse for this, absolutely NONE.More owners and drivers need to wake up and watch this video then start screaming at the All Star officials, they definitely dropped the ball this time. They definitely need to reply to all their racers about this kind of crap. I guess from the tweeters talking about Cannonball being accessed down a dirt road was the first clue to what a real hill billy operation they have, next they will have it to" bring your own buckets of water" to provide your own fire protection. Lame.

Bet n Housen,, Could not agree more. As I read, the track owners leased the track to the ALL STARS, you would think this could not happen with such a PRO organization. Looks bad on UNOH also. Dan

shoulda ran another track twice, gone to eldora, or just made it 8 nights with a rain/off day. I cannot imagine how much money that track cost the 1s because of not being prepared for that type of situation.

Now,thank you High Vista Video, this tape should be shown to every fire protection group at every track in the U.S. The proof is right in front of you ,no excuses of any kind are needed by the AllStar management or the Cannonball Clan.No amount of words can replace what you see, thanks again High Vista, this is a true keepsake for lameness if I ever saw it.Now I'm done spilling my rage over this, lets just hope the powers that control these programs get a tremendous lesson from this, you are never too old to learn,so put on your big boy britches and make sure this doesn't happen again anywhere.

Unfortunately this is a common issue around tracks in every state. we spent value able time and money here local to try an change this attitude. so many excuses as in money , liability, etc there are few tracks such as Knoxville, Eldora, and even Dodge City had a very well trained personal. the Allstars or whomever rented the track should have checked in on this

You absolutely nailed it. I'm sitting there watching the video and it felt like it took forever. Can't imagine what Logan was thinking.
Pitiful job by everyone involved in that situation. Logan should put together a bill and send it to the owners, who should gladly pay it. Absolute disgrace, especially in today's day and age.
Worst part about it is, the racing looked like it was awesome. But all anyone can talk about is how the firecrew dropped the ball. No wonder race tracks close down. Corners can't be cut, especially when it comes to safety.

Isn't it the sanctioning body's responsibility to provide ambulance/fire/etc,when they lease a track? Good thing nobody got hurt, because the WOO/ Wolfgang deal would be out there all over again.Of course,if you read your pit release, you are responsible for your own safety! John S.

That release isn't worth the paper it's printed on....
Driver, employees, and fans have won judgements even after signing those "releases".

In addition to the fire, I didn't see a single rescue crew member show up when Gravel flipped. He crawled out of the car on his own, they must of had the camera on him for 15-20 seconds, and no rescue crew ever did show up to help. What a joke.
