i enjoyed the races last night. 19 cars and 15 of them were great. $15. thought i was getting away with something. almost felt guilty. i guess after all the crap shows i've seen, i was due to see something cool.

Plus the track prep at Angel Park was superior to that of Wilmot and Oshkosh.... Make's a guy wondrer huh!

It was dusty, it could have been a lot worse and there were an awful lot of tacky spots also. A few rubber down areas, so it was a real weird track. I guess having no rain to speak of for 2 weeks can do that to a track... Great action though.....

I would say the big difference in prices is there were no support classes to pay at Sun Prairie (I am sure the 6 mini-sprints did not get paid much) while Wilmot had to pay for 3 additional classes. Why were pit passes only $25 at Wilmot but $30 at Sun Prairie. Sounds like the competitors took it on the chin at the Prairie.
Wilmot track conditions were pretty simular to the past IRA shows this year. Did not get as slick at the end but got to remember there were 10 less cars than an IRA show so that was one less heat race and B main on the track.
While it was nice to see the Prairie have a heavy track it basically was a parade come feature time as I don't think I saw more than a couple passes throughout the whole field.
Overall great two nights of racing and hope USAC Sprints come back in 2013.

My first impression during hot laps was that this may suck, but I am not used to seeing power slides halfway down the front stretch. At Wilmot there was some good wheel to wheel, some good passing. After all, there were a couple of wrecks, so the wheel to wheel was there. lol No, really good show, and not once did I say to myself that "this parade we are watching sucks" No parade, it was good, and I was impressed. I look forward to seeing them again. I did not go Angell Park.

Lumpy, I thought the crowd was very good. The weather was very comfortable, especially after the sun went down and it was hard to complain about the ticket prices: $15.00 for a regular ticket; $12.00 for a student and $10.00 for seniors.
