“Firecracker 40” to Light up LoneStar Speedway July 7th

The Independence Day weekend will be filled with fireworks on – and off – the track when the SUPR Late Model Series will hit the high banks of LoneStar Speedway (LSS) in Kilgore Texas with the running of the “Firecracker 40 Spectacular” on Saturday, July 7^th.

A large field of drivers can be expected from throughout the region, including LoneStar SUPR Memorial Day winner Robbie Stuart; plus Allen Tippen, Rob Litton, Jim Bryant, Robbie Starnes, Zack McMillan, Kevin Sitton, Ronny Adams, Shane Hebert, Steve Whiteaker, BJ Robinson, Derek Perkins, Timothy Culp, Chris Wall, Jeff Chandler – and many, many more. 33 SUPR teams were in competition at the previous LoneStar SUPR event.

In addition to the SUPR Late Model Series, a complete program of Modified (paying $1,000 to win), Limited Modified ($500 to win) and Factory Stocks ($300 to win) will compete. Their purse and rules are located at the track website.

A great fireworks display will highlight the night’s festivities, as we celebrate our Independence Day holiday.

Track owners Sam & Lisa Hafertepe have continued their mission of keeping racing events at LoneStar Speedway as ‘family-friendly pricing’ as possible by holding adult race tickets to just $15.

Note that “Summer Hours” are now in effect for all LoneStar Speedway racing events through Labor Day weekend, with one hour later start times to help offset the anticipated heat of the day. The pits will open at 5pm, grandstands 6pm, with hot laps around 8pm and racing to follow.

Here are some quick facts for the event:

-Summer Hours are in effect: Pits open at 5pm, Grandstands open at 6pm, Hot Laps at 8pm, with Racing to follow

-General Admission just $15 (ages 12 and older; tickets available at the gate on race day only)

-Kids (ages 6-11) just $5

-Ages 5 and under admitted free with adult admission

-Military or Senior’s (Ages 65+) General Admission $13

-Upgrade any ticket to the Reserved Section (bucket seats) for $5 per person

-If you purchase tickets with MasterCard or Visa, there is a $1/ticket processing fee.

-All Pit Passes $30

-No outside food/drink coolers are allowed inside, a full selection of economically priced food concessions, including beer, are available.

And now, Mindi and Michael Jones, owners of the #50 Factory Stock driven by Billy Meazell, have added $700 cash to the winners share of the Factory Stock feature on July 7th - making it $1,000 to win!

There is no entry fee or added cost to the competitors, but the race distance will be increased for this special event from 15 laps to 20.

Mindi and Michael will also be bringing in some special prizes for the fans that will be awarded in the form of additional 50/50 ticket drawings; so you'll want to make sure to get your tickets so you can get in on the extra action!
