FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series
USAC/CRA POINT RACE AT VICTORVILLE IS POSTPONED
by Lance Jennings
SANTA MARIA, CA – JUNE 13, 2012… Officials with the Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series have announced that the first point race at the newly christened Route 66 Motorplex in Victorville has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts. Officials are searching for suitable replacement dates for USAC/CRA's return to the Victorville facility and a new date should be announced in the coming days.
Scott Burns, an ex-CRA and SCRA sprint car driver, has recently taken over the promotions at the San Bernardino Fairgrounds clay oval. USAC/CRA officials are happy to see the facility re-open and welcome the opportunity to work with him and his staff in the future. With the closure of other race tracks during the past year, the debut of Route 66 Motorplex is supported by many in the racing community.

So sorry to hear this.I really hope that this stays a midget/sprint show.
I've always wanted to see midgets at VVille.Best of luck to the new promoter.

Absolutely will be midget /410 sprint show!....no change there...hoping for early August!....contemplating practice night june 30th???????

Practice night would be AWESOME, we could start with practicing qualifying then practice running 4 heats, a semi then practice running a 30 lap Main for both Sprint Cars and Midgets!!! I'M READY FOR PRACTICE!!!

on my budget, i'm not sure that practice is feasible...so i'll have to save up for race night
it would be pretty darn funny if 30+ sprints and 20+ midgets showed up ready to race on the 30th

This is just really unfortunate. There seemed to be so much excitement associated with opening on the 30th. I hope the excitement continues to build for rescheduled date.

Along as kenny brings is own skateboard . I'm sure he don't need a helmet it wouldn't help anyways .
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

I was thinking about this situation and how I had just posted a few days ago that I thought that USAC was a Albatross around Cali 410' necks.
But as long as you brought it up Bruce, a few BIGFISH I caught about 3 weeks ago down on the Sea of Cortez.
