Does anybody know what the deal with Sides not starting the A main was? He qualified through the B but then Darrah (the first alternate) started. Just curious what was wrong with Sides car.

According to his post on Facebook yesterday, he decided to sell his spot to Darrah to save on fuel and tires on a track he determined that he couldn't pass anyone anyways. It's there.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

This might help. A copy and paste from Jasons site. Please be advised, these are not words directly from Jason.
Knoxville was learning experience tonight. We drew a late number for qualifying and ended up 21. Ran 6th in the heat. But started 3rd in the B-Main. Finished 3rd in the B, but instead of buying new tires and fuel for the feature, which was going to be rubberdown, we sold our spot to Cody Darrah who is running for points and the 7s team is not. We made what we thought was the best decision for our team, a nice profit for the night and Cody got to race. Congrats to Kerry Madsen and the 29 team on their win.

Cody Darrah did not earn any points for the A-main Saturday. Under World of Outlaws rules, alternates are NOT eligible for main event points--they receive full A-main purse for their finishing position, but only the same 75 points that they would have received for not qualifying from the Last Chance Showdown. This rule was put in place several years ago to prevent teams that are out of provisionals from "buying their way" into main events to earn points. (Provisionals are just the opposite--they earn full points, but forfeit the "start moeny" from the purse).
