I've been attending Knoxville's races for over 30 years, and you can't always have a great night of sprint car racing. The combination of several things made the track surface hard to pass on that night.
My only suggestion when it's that hot, plus 87 sprint cars in the pits, would be to start an hour later. But Knoxville is still the most fan-friendly and driven track I've been to from coast to coast.
But those who went to Huset's the next night as well quickly forgot the night before with this wall-banging, slide-jobbing, 21st to 1st drive:
This is the video clip of the entire 410 A-feature from KELOLand.com: http://www.keloland.com/videoarchive/index.cfm?VideoFile=061707mccarl
And here is a brief recap from www.Husets-Speedway.com :
McCarl snatches victory at Huset's Speedway June 17, 2007 - Terry McCarl, on an off night from World of Outlaws action, raced under Mark Dobmeier with 3 laps remaining to score his 79th Huset's Speedway victory Sunday night. McCarl's win came from the last starting position in a backup car after a heat race scuffle with Billy Alley junked his primary car. Jody Rosenboom picked up another win in 360 Sprint Car action
PS: www.KeloLand.com archives many of the races they tape during the course of the season which you can find on their site, and Huset's is lucky to have such a great marketing partner to showcase their races with. I used to go to Huset's regularly when I was growing up, and it gives you a great taste of the action. It's no wonder the track gets 6000-8000 fans on a Sunday night with this kind of racing!

Chasin' - glad you got to check the place out. To answer that question yourself, you can go back through the www.keloland.com archives where this link is located and you can see the WoO races from last year, other special events plus feature stories on their TV station.
But for the most part, yes, the races I've seen there are pretty memorable.

Terry's drive through the field was even more impressive when you consider the fact that he had to roll out a back up car after junking his in the heat race. He got it together just in time for the feature; no hot laps!

I remember several years ago when Gary Brazier (AUS) started around 22nd or so at Huset's 'Gold Cup' and passed Doug Wolfgang and Danny Lasoski in the later stages of the race to finish 2nd.
I'm almost thinking that Terry McCarl won that race too. Don't quote me on that though. I was there but was too busy watching Gary come through the field to remember!
