Last Friday night saw Springfield, Illinois sprint car pilot Jordan Goldesberry have to dig himself out of a hole after suffering a flat tire in the Advanced Plumbing and Mechanical 1st heat race at the Brockway Mechanical and Roofing Sprint Invaders Association stop at Peoria Speedway. After taking the checkers in the Holtkamp's Trailer Repair B-Main, Jordan went to work, moving up 14 positions in picking up the runner-up spot in the feature. The drive also earned the 21 year old racer the KSE Hard Charger Award. “We had a good night,” Jordan told the SIA's Bill Wright. “The track was not the best, but it looked worse on the bottom and middle. We were starting so far back, we thought we’d try the top. I think things are coming together.” Looking to keep the momentum going as we head towards mid-June, Jordan will drive the Plath Motorsports #14P Maxim,Wesmar powered 360 at Jacksonville Speedway Friday night with the Sprint Invaders. On Saturday, the team will point the transporter north towards the Badger State and Wilmot Speedway at the Kenosha County Fairgrounds to get some 410 racing done in the bright yellow #65 Maxim with the Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association.
