With Hanford having another dark weekend the Velocity Motorsports crew traveled south to the tight 1/5 mile of Ventura speedway. The night started out promising with a good car in hot laps the team felt comfortable headed into the heat race. Forced to start in the 8th position due to the team first visit to the track and their rules. As the green droped driver Myles Bishop was in the mix battling for 6th place on the first two laps. To the disappointment of the team though the track drastically changed and the Myles had to battle the car for the rest of the race finishing a disappointing 8th. Rolling out for the main even after the track had been cut and watered the Velocity Motorsports C V Fabricators, Escalon Body and Frame, Pacific Bolt, Stud Welding Products, Maclac Paints, D & D Roofing #7 had to start in the 20th position due to the track rules. After an early pile up in the middle of the pack, a crash stalling the charging #7 the restart was lined up and Myles Drove the nicely handling car set up by crew chief Steve Bishop head wrench Matt Durica and Kent Miller to a final spot of 13th.
This weekend the Velocity Motorsports crew will travel back to Hanford. Sitting 12th place in points with 14 points behind 11th and 338 points behind the leader. Myles and crew hope to gain some points on the leaders. Hope to see you there
