Brad was in the 75 at the Gold Cup in '83 or '84. It was a 50 lapper then.
Brad came with maybe one guy on the crew. He even drove the rig. He had them all covered with a big lead when the thing quit after 47 laps!
He told me later in Visalia that he left the track and drove all night. What a sad night for Doty fans!

Was at a track I grew up watching auto racing when the WoO came to visit sometime in the early 80s when he was driving the Bowers 28. The place was just plain tough to pass. He made a move that I'd never witnessed in all the years I'd been there to get past another driver. It is one of the moments that made me a sprint car fan.
