I sure miss the days of Jack Hewitt as he would have settled this incident like it should be. IMO the 80k flat drove into the 17b. Probably if the 17b wasn't there the 80k would have pounded the wall. If you have to junk someone elses car to win a race that is not racing in my book.

New class being taught at road america by 80k. If you run 2nd to the same guy every week this is what you do! I hope Balog can put enough pieces together to get back to the track and do what he does best. Beat Kertscher!

Boy that wasn't even close. I think Billy and Scottie may be looking for a little beercan payback with Mike sometime this season. And I don't mean they are going to drink a beer together.

Man after watching that my first reaction is you go IRA.... Thats some good competition... Great racing... Thanks for the video... Change my opinion of IRA... Anyhow, i felt bad for balog, and how he handled it was more impressive. When he seen the car next to him, he put himself into the wall... But the other car had no reguard for what was to happen... Then to see him just hunched over the right front outa sight, said alot.... Like i said, i felt bad for the guy..

That was pretty awesome watching them slice & dice through traffic! It looked like they both were racing pretty clean.. too bad it had to end that way..

Video always looks 20/20 afterwards.I was there and it was a great show overall.Im sure 80k didnt want to take him out to win the race but with 3 laps left,no lap cars and a racy track I think anyone in 2nd place is going to try a slider.I wish it didnt happen either,the wierdest part was after the incident the crowd was silent no boos,no cheers.I like most on here have seen that happen plenty with usually a very strong crowd reaction.Seemed like no one knew what to think of it.The 80k's victory celebration was very subdued also.It seemed like he didn't quite know how to react either.I took a IRA newbie that night and he was blown away by the show overall.I hate to see wrecked equipment but it was an exciting show.

Love that track! Wish I could have been there, had to work.  my 2 cents, if someone tries to slide me, I'm cutting right under them! Don't even give them the chance to gimme the squeeze. Most of the time Bill does the smart thing. Nobodies perfect. & regardless of who you're a fan of, this is the stuff that puts butts in seats! A little drama. It's unfortunate that equipment gets wrecked, money gets spent, & people get injured, but that's racing & its going to be this way forever, always have. Unless of you'd prefer a program piloting a full scale slot car or some crap! LOL. & honestly, we know Bill's gonna win the points. If he had won, people would be on here complaining about how boring it is watching him dominate all the time.

Good post. Nobody is happy unless they are bitchin', so deal with a slide job gone awry, and move on. It happens. You have to do what you have to do sometimes. Balog is a monster, has dominated the last few years, so guys have to try to pull one out of a hat.
