The track tonight was noticeably more moist, maybe even "locked down". As a result, in my opinion, horsepower was essential. During the heat races, the fastest POWR-I time I caught was 12.14. The fastest mini-sprint time I caught was 13.28. During the features, I was too busy watching the action to bother with the stopwatch. Good night of racing in that no one made a trip to the hospital.

I really enjoyed watching Andrew Felker (POWR-I) battle his way from the 3rd or 4th

row to the front and win his third POWR-I race in a row. Tonight, it appeared to me that everyone was "fast" and it was difficult to pass.

That factor made Felker's drive to the front even more impressive. If you were there, it might have appeared different to you, but that is how I saw it. Some top mini-sprints were absent tonight (Marcham cars, Robb cars, etc). ASCS2 running somewhere?

For the record Thank you for coming out both nights. Also to add to your post felker actually started 11th (6th row inside) makes the drive he made even more impressive. As for some of our regulars there was alot of mini sprint action all over this past weekend. The Robb's and Marcham's where at the lake I believe, I know that shebester was in Texas running a triple crown race down there which continues tonight and also port city had a two day show. With all those races and ours there was a ton of mini sprint races to be seen around here.

I was able to make only Saturday night's races, and that was my first trip to I-44. I was pleasantly surprised. That's a great little midget track. If there are more midget shows there, I'll definitely be back. Does the track have a website?

We were OT planning on having 2 intermissions but logistics kinda messed with us cause there was no b for the midgets so some of the non wing guys were having to come off the track then right back on for the b features we did have another class that was supposed to run but we only had 2 cars show up so the ran with the non wing. Sorry about that we do have another midget show scheduled in October same group the power I series.
