For the first time in three years, it looks like the weather is cooperating for Friday's World of Outlaws race here in Charlotte, and live on SPEED -- 8:00 Eastern.
If you are going to your local track, that is great....we HAVE to support our tracks. But, set your DVR or leave your TV on; tell your friends and neighbors, whatever you can do to get every TV set pointed to this.
Good TV numbers raised the water level for all sprint car racing and we all have a boat in that water.

You mean to tell me that NASCAR NATION, I mean SPEED is going to broadcast a Sprint Car race? I just wonder how many of the guys that bitch and moan about Speed's content, will come running back, tongues wagging, to watch this? Everyone that can, proving that if they are not bitching about something, they are not happy. Maybe they will have something NICE to say about SPEED now. How DARE they run on and compete on a Saturday night on TV? Don't they know that people will stay home to watch? This means a lower gate for all of our short tracks in the country. Shame. All I know, is that the DVR will be set, and I will be attending my local IRA race at Wilmot, weather permitting of course.

I wish I could get Speed on basic cable. The cable provider said they only have it in a premium package for $50 more per month.

I'll probably watch it.
The sad part is that it takes until Wednesday the week of the race to even let anyone know it's on TV. The outlaw website still shows it as Dirtvision on their schedule (not Speed).
How do they expect hardcore fans to help them with TV ratings if they don't tell anyone their schedule until so late in the process. Seems to me like this is a HUGE oversight (or they have no contract with Speed, so it's pay as you go).

According to my TV directory the show is World of Outlaws LATE MODELS and not sprints.....
I tell it like I see it.

I am glad that it will be on TV and I will DVR on it. But the only reason Speed is there is because the equipment is already there for NASCAR.

Opinions may vary...

No shit! Stay off of twitter when these delayed races are on tv. Ruins everything.

It's "live to tape" for the heats/prelims and usually catches up to live by feature time.

Unless something has changed recently, you can order one channel "a la carte" from your cable provider and add it to your current service. It used to be like $1.99 per channel ordered. They usually don't advertise it, and a lot of times will try to convince customers they don't offer it, so it pays to check and be pushy when calling.
