Very kind act of generosity last night by Brian as he donated his second place winnings from Valley Speedway to the family of driver Jeff Osborn who was recently killed in a sprint car crash at Valley Speedway. With actions like that it's no surprise to me why Brian always has many sponsors on his race car. This info was obtained on the web site of NSSN.

Was there a thread on here about Jeff Osborn? I wasn't aware that there had been a Sprint Car driver fatally injured recently.

Brian Brown; Classy guy, great driver, & a solid human being. he's actually said hello to me in the pits at track before, & I was too shy to respond! how many drivers do that? not many...

Class...pure class. A great competitor and a caring, thoughtful individual with a super team, terrific family, and true loyal fans. One of the best, most positive ambassadors for the sport. Thanks BB.

Was sitting at Granite City last Summer for a race... started talking with a guy about the races that night and then realized it was Brian Brown. Very cool, down to earth guy...

Brownie is a class act. Remember a few years back before he got the Super Clean sponsorship he was on these very boards seeking sponsorship to help him out. Look at all the companys he represents now. It takes nearly as long to mention all his sponsors as it does to answer all the other questions in an interview. And yet hes still the same person, not too good to talk to anyone. If your in the pits and hes not busy, he may just seek YOU out to talk. He's as real as a person can get, and deserves everything he has IMO.

I'll never understand the people who don't like Brown. He's always humble when he wins, appreciative of every single fan who goes to the races, acknowledges other competitors (case in point saying Heskin had them covered) and promotes his sponsors and sprint car racing better than almost anyone I've ever watched.
I think he gets a bad rap cause some think he has this pretty boy look or because he's Danny's nephew. But I echo the comments about Brown always being approachable and willing to talk to anyone in the pits anytime. He's so nice he's almost goofy. I'ld bet everyone on the board that if they approached Brown at Nationals at his rig outside of turn 3 he will stop what he's doing and talk to any fan.

I like to see Brown win too, but I don't think he misses an opportunity to draw attention to himself. A couple of weeks ago, while being interviewed after his 2nd win at Knoxville in all his years racng there, Brown stepped between Davy Heskin and the camera recording his interview. Sure he shook his hand and congratulated him, but he had to do it where the camera picked him up. Last night at Valley, right as intermission started, he came out for a parade lap on his four wheeler. They had already announced they were going to water the track then, so it couldn't have been to check the conditions since they were bound to change. I'm sure he's a nice guy, he does great promoting his sponsors and the sport, he was happy to sign my girlfriend's BBR t-shirt, but there is that "look at me" about him that rubs the wrong way at times.

Brown could have made the donation to the Osborn family without having to publicly announce it during the intermission. They would have benefited the same, but then you wouldn't have known what a great guy he was that way, would you? Not saying Brown is a bad guy, just that he is always working the angles for another "look at me" moment.

It's a thing called LEADERSHIP. Yes Brown could do it anonymously. Of course anyone or any organization could donate to charity or do the right thing anonymously. But how does that set a good example? How does that inspire others to do the same? It doesn't, cause if no one knows it, or sees it, or sees someone lead the way in doing the right thing, then most will do nothing. That's what leadership is. Thank god for people like Brown. I guarantee Brown's act of kindness and the publicity of it caused others to donate in some way.
Thing number two to learn Mr. NKC. Not everyone has ulterior motives for doing the right thing. What I've found in my years is that people who question others motives typically do so because they themselves only do things for selfish reasons or promotion.
You might also consider Brown stepped in front of the camera to genuinely congratulate Davey Heskin cause he was happy for him and didn't care whether he was on camera.
Or maybe you just like Ian Madsen a lot.
