Congrats to Brandon Wimmer and the Roth 83jr team on their Dirt Cup win. Looks like Jon came close, leading 34 laps and finishing 2nd. And Roger Crockett with another good finish. Two fast times and a 3rd place. Not bad at all.

A lapped car lost it in front of JA and that's when Wimmer got by him.

What happened to Suggs?

He had a nasty flip in turn 4 during the main, Stu.

Felt bad for Jon & the Zero Heroes. Got caught up in A LOT of crap that wasn't their fault all weekend, then to have to change a motor right after the A scramble (heard some rumblings, most of it NOT too good/positive, as well, about the team when they were changing the motor) and then lose the lead w/ about 4 laps to go, when they had issues w/ a lapped car. Was still able to finish 2nd. Felt bad, but still am PROUD of them. Jon gave it a shot, and damn near pulled off the 3 peat (and to Jon, THANK YOU AGAIN for the tshirts bro, and for driving your a** off, w/ everything that happend all weekend!!!). You rock!!!

Still shaking my head about a 10 second lap. Seeing the 7N on RAILS like that, after getting the track re packed after the rain came through, during the A scramble, INCREDIBLE. That was sick.

Wanted to Thank Rich, Al, Maurie, Carolynne (sp, loser's mom), Gary, Cindy (CANNOT THANK Cindy enough for everything she has done, don't think will EVER be able to, or pay her back), Adri Richards, George, Jeff Perry, Andrew, Happy Gilmore, members of the Knowles family & nobby ("/) for the fun, bb tourney & laughs. GREAT seeing you guys again.

Got to meet pretty good people as well. Members of the Henderson gang & crew (7N), JA's car owner Morrie Williams (finally), bkfan69 & "Unofficially" met Marcel for the first time too. Met some of the 1/4 midget gang as well.

On a side note, HELLO Sandy!!!!! Left you a vm dear (Jon was asking if I had spoken w/ you recently).

Nice win by Wimmer. Hope to see him run the rest of the GSC races this year and maybe Knoxville in August!

Hey it was great seeing you again Annette and everyone else from the NW and the California gang that made the trip up.

Fun times and again shows why the Dirt Cup is probably my favorite event of the year. Thanks to Steve Beitler and the Skagit Speedway staff for the hospitality. It's really appreciated.

Also was really cool to meet some new people as well as have a nice conversation with Henry Van Dam. He has such a positive attitude about the whole thing, it's really uplifting. He said he'll be down to watch the Trophy Cup and has enjoyed his trips down to Cali the last couple years.

StuDeedooo

Stu thanks for asking about Evan. Everyone was trying to figure out what hit the car (some officials thinking it was part of the torgue tube off Lemley's car.) Long story short whatever it was went through the hood and nose and in the process hit and put a hole through the air box and knocked the stacks ajar. The hood flew up in Evan's face and he couldn't see, he hit the rut in turn 3 and the rest is history.. Anyway he is fine and the car....well it was a mess but parts have been ordered that we knew we needed after checking things at the track.(in the dark and rain it was hard to tell a whole lot). Just got home about an hour ago and once they can assess the rest of the damage Evan will be off to Kaedings and we'll get it back together, not in time for Quincy this weekend but we'll be at Tulare the 30th.

Oh wow, I didn't realize all that happened to Evan's car. That's too bad because he woulda been in for a good finish.

Seeing Evan win on Thursday was definitely one of the highlights of the trip in my mind Linda.

We'll miss you all in Quincy. See ya in a couple weeks.

I agree it sure was great to see an underdog get the win. Evan has done a great job this year especially considering his resources. Looking forward to seeing you guys run again in Tulare.

Anyone remember Peter Murphy's run Saturday Night ?

Peter was caught up in that first lap maylay (Tharp wreck) and had to go to the tail end of the field

Then drove an amazing race to get 7th place
