Switching from wing to non wing last saturday at Fremont Speedway. Transferred from the wing B-Main then switched for the non wing A-main. Made both shows. Fun night.
My fave part of this video is watching the guy in the firesuit....all the crew is hustling and thrashing their butts off while he stands behind the car with his arms crossed watching....then he steps in for 20 seconds to put a turn in the RR bar....typical driver...hahahahahaha... I do think that was a really neat video...no way would I ever attempt to run one sprintcar in wing and nonwing classes on the same night...in a mini sprint or something like that, where you don't need to do so much part swapping, it would be a fun challenge, but no way would I do it in a sprinter if I was serious about trying to win either race. I have a hard enough time finding even 1 person to go to the races with me...just somebody who can drive the truck back home in case I get my bell rung, is usually like pulling teeth to find.
Loose is when you hit the wall with the rear of the
car, tight is when you hit the wall with the front of
the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and
torque is how far you move the wall.

Hey! I represent that remark. Plus, in case you missed it I had time for a peanut butter cookie too.
I have a great bunch of dedicated guys that love working on this stuff.
I ran the same tires in everything but the Winged A-main because we are low budget and it's all I had. I just changed the ride heights and spaced the wheels out for the non wing. Our goal was to make both portions of the show and we were the only team to do that with one car. We made the switch five times. Tony Beaber made both shows, but used two cars. We finished 15th in both, not as good as we would have liked but we'll take it. It was a blast.

Brian,
I hope you caught the humor in my post.....I meant absolutely no disrespect what so ever....quite the opposite in fact.........I applaud you guys for taking on such a challenge and still hitting the goal of making both mains....of course you wanted better results, guys that win by a straightaway wish they would have won by half a lap, but I think you did just fine considering all the work & planning that went into this, not to mention having to stay focused on 2 totally different driving styles for that long a time with no time to rest.
The real question is.....WILL YOU ATTEMPT TO DO IT AGAIN IF OPPORTUNITY ARISES?

Yep, you're good, that's why I said I represent, and not resent that statement. I would absolutely do it again, but you'd have to ask my crew if they would. lol
