I was at Knoxville last year, and will be here this year. Shane Stewart did pass Sammy, but if you noticed Sammy would get squirley in some turns, and then lay into it, and pass at will. I'm not an expert, but I watched Sammy slip on one turn earlier, and catch Donny Schotz from the fifth position, and breath down his neck till he spun again. At that time he was in second, slipped back to fifth, and got up to 3rd. Ran out of track. All I'm saying is, no one, I repeat, no one has more power then Sammy, and Al Parker. If anyone wants to race dynos, I'll bet alot of money on Sammy. That being said, racing is racing, and congrats to the STP team, and Shane Stewart for doing what they had to do to finish up front. I might not have this scene perfect, but you know what I'm saying.

I'll go one step further. A gentlemens wager. I'll Take Sammy, first one to take another driver for a $100, the nationals the bet. Whoever finishes in the best position wins. I'll be in the pits after the races. Ask Al where I'm at, he'll point me out to you, and I'll pay if I'm wrong. I'll have to let him in on this, so he knows.

I don't ever make it to K-ville to even see him race. I know that he's fast but he's not God. I just looked up his stats for this season and out of 14 A main starts he only has 4 wins. 4 2nd place finishes. There are plenty of other people in the country that have better stats than that! Why is anyone concerned what he does at Knoxville. I'm not!

You go find the stats of the other people in 360s/410s who win 30% of their races and finish in the top two over 50% of the time. Go ahead.

Randy Hannigan - 360's Limaland 4 wins in 9 races this year. Top 2 in 6 of 9 races.
Randy Hannigan - NRA 7 wins in 13 races this year. Top 2 in 8 of 13 races (by the way top 6 in 13 of 13 races).

I should have specified that the competition should actually exist. A former WoO driver picking on super low budget, much less competitive teams hardly compares to weekly Knoxville racing.

Why don't all of the jealous haters pool their money and buy Clint a 410?
He has raced a 410 for years at Husets and Knoxville and the cost was a killer for him. Lets just look at the economics of the present deal he has. He burns $400 in fuel just for the hauler and races for $1250 to win. I would think with Parker or Hesmer taking care of the engine that Clint is barely holding his money together.
And a s far as Zomer being a better driver, not even close, Garner cleaned his clock at Husets over and over. Knoxville you go fast, at Husets you learn how to race.
|
I heard this Parker engine is a House Engine with Parker owning it, not Clint Garmer team, same with Hessmer. I could be wrong

Hannagan...plenty...no...just one, and a weaker one.

What are you trying to say? Aren't you contradicting yourself (this thread)? Didn't this start with why doesn't Clint garner go run 410's instead of "cherry Picking" the 360's. ArmyDuke posted what you asked for and your response is that Hannagan outclasses the field in Ohio? This my friend makes no sense to me!
do it in the dirt

You, fool, said "plenty" of drivers have his win rate. Please prove it. Someone else proved one driver who faces weaker competition than Garner does. One driver does not denote "plenty," but really, what could I realistically expect from someone with a confederate flag in their avatar? Not much.
