Last night was the perfect example why the 40 stays and sandbags in the 360. Even after his first win this year Clint says "no offense to our local(360) drivers." He can quick time, start sixth in his heat, run up to second, and pass about 6 or 7 cars in the feature. Why would he want any part of the thrilling, exciting, awesomeness that was that 410 feature last night? What a show!

Sounds like next week he tags the rear of the feature. That may cure that problem.

maybe you could pony up the cash to give him a solid 410 ride! 3-4 years ago I remember Clint hurt their last motor just before nationals started, parked their hauler down by us at the north campgrounds and sat out the entire nationals weekend.

I think Clint has a good engine deal going right now but if you look on his car there are not many sponsers.

$$$$$$$$ talks. You pay the bills and I'm sure he would be happy to move up to the 410's.

Not comparing the two, but bitchin about someone who dominates in a class(garner in this case) would be like bitchin about SK staying with the outlaws when he has won so much there. Its their fn money. Shut up and enjoy the fact that there is another sprint car on the track. Maybe you would be happy if he just folded his operation and never raced again?

I'm sure with the 40 it's more of an ego thing than a $ thing. More like a Hessmer thing. Clint thinks he only gets challenged when big boppers come in from out of town. Clint couldn't clean the tires off of drivers like Zomer, Dobmeier, Mccarl, Heskin etc.. I don't care if he stays in the minors and wins every week.

Really? You better check the 40's results at Husets. In the past few years he has made some late season, 410 appearances at Husets where he has more than cleaned the tires off of Zomer, Dobmeier, and McCarl.
You seem to have all the answers, why don't you check with Clint and verify your opinion with him.
He might tell you that he simply doesn't like 410 racing and that he just wants to have fun.

Everyone here understand this is the Knoxville perception has on 360s I talk about? Thus Knoxville has a difficult time supporting anything but winged 410s. Everything else is inferior. The only racing that is sustainable in Knoxville are 410s. That's why it will never ever leave like the rumors a few years ago around the web.

I hate how people think that 360 racing is inferior to 410 racing. There are many talented 360 drivers in the world who are better drivers than 410 drivers. I don't see 360 racing as a step down from 410 racing. Clint has dominated at Knoxville over the past few years, but has yet to win the 360 Nationals. As someone said earlier, just because Steve Kinser has won so many WoO races doesn't mean he should quit running with them.
Not sure if it is a money thing, but you never see many sponsors on the car. For someone who has been so successful that surprises me, but with the bad economy I guess no one wants to spend money.
It is sad..... but no one likes a consistent winner. Kinser was hated when he dominated the WoO but now when he wins the same fans love it.
Love them or hate them, we should respect them all for risking their lives to entertain us because without racing this would be one sh*tty world.

the 360 races on the first night of racing had the best 360 race in my opinion that I have seen for a while. There were 5 lead changes with 4 cars doing slide jobs lap after lap in feature.

My dad started clint out in his very first sprint car and my uncle did his very first paint job that he still caries to this day with the baby blue! Clint is an awesome guy! deffinately my hero and racing idol! Even when ASCS boys come to town they cant handle that 40 car! would really like to see drivers step up and give him a challenge like Wayne Johnson did Saturday night. and as far as running the wheels off of dobmeier, mccarl and zomer. a few years ago at husets he would start in the back when they had extra money up for a driver who could start last and win. Clint did this 2 or 3 times and i believe he finished second twice and third once. Husets may be the toughest track to drive. If you can come from the back to the front at Husets and pass those 3 big names. You know you have a huge amount of talent. Those of you talking bad are tired of seeing him destroy your locals every week. but then again what else can I say? Sioux Falls, SD destroy the competition when we travel......

Why don't all of the jealous haters pool their money and buy Clint a 410?
He has raced a 410 for years at Husets and Knoxville and the cost was a killer for him. Lets just look at the economics of the present deal he has. He burns $400 in fuel just for the hauler and races for $1250 to win. I would think with Parker or Hesmer taking care of the engine that Clint is barely holding his money together.
And a s far as Zomer being a better driver, not even close, Garner cleaned his clock at Husets over and over. Knoxville you go fast, at Husets you learn how to race.

Garner better than Zomer, Zomer better than Garner?!?#! They're both damn good and could swap wins on any night in any class. Just be glad we have them both. As far as Section H hating on Garner so much, I don't get it. Garner seems loke a pretty respectable classy guy. His comment about out running some of the visitors was a compliment to them not a dig.
