It looks like the little wee bit of Mopar left is still the fastest thing on the planet at horsepower heaven called Eldora on Friday and Saturday. Way to go David.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Must have missed the set up. Sounds like he may have won if not for the yellows though.

mindless has changed but still crazy exaggeration to say the least. Last year his signature line said that Fords were dominating Late Model dirt track racing in the country. Now he's toned down his line, even though he's still soaking wet. Things are not going to change in 2012, no matter how much money Ford and Roush Yates spend.
2011 Chevy power: WoO champ Jason Meyers and Charlotte Finals Night champ Donny Schatz, BB Mod champ Matt Sheppard and Finals Night champ Tim McCreadie, WoO LM champ Rick Eckert and Finals Night LM champ Jimmy Owens as well as 98% of all 141 finals night entrants with Chevy power. Don O'Neal's captures the 2011 Knoxville Late Model Nationals, Jimmy Owens wraps up the title in the Lucas Oil LM series, USAC Sprint Car champion and USAC Silver Crown champion Levin Jones
and finally if you are lucky enough to see a blue oval powered car in any division at your local dirt track, that would rank as total domination by mindless.
Lawlessness + liberalism = HELL - NYC, Detroit, Chicago,
Seattle, LA Who the H runs those cities.

Must have got beat in the drag race to the corner.
The ultimate slap in the face to the Fords lack of HP.

Missed the set up? Really? That is your excuse?? The 41 team is one of the teams to beat and has been for the past few years (360 or 410, it doesn't matter). Now, they have big $$$ behind them and get passed by two locals like they were standing still. Had the same situation happend last year, Jason would have won by half a lap!! The only thing that changed from last year is the brand of power (or lack there of) under the hood.

Haha, you guys are funny when you mention "lack of power" from ford. I guess then there is no reason for several chevy guys out there complaining about it being a cheater motor. Seems like such a waste of complaining if there is more "power" in their chevy's. I would say that the 41 team took that night as a learning experience to adjust to the new power under the hood. Take Randy Martin for example from last weeks Knoxville trip. He had to qualify in the worst track conditions resulting in most of his hot lap group running low to mid 17's. He then managed to come from 14th to 7th in the feature and that wasn't from "lack of power". Good motor + decent setup = one hell of a charge. Expect to see him and his crew up there this weekend doin work like they do! Oh yeah and to mention Randy won at Lucas Oil over the weekend beating out 37 teams. Proof that Roush is doing their homework and taking over podiums.

I would use the term Chevy Power very very loosely seeing as how Chevy actually makes none of the parts in or on those engines with exception of a Bowtie Block.
A more accurate description would be Aftermarket Power!!!
The cool thing is that after all these years at least all the Big 3 are represented.

I agree and have always wondered why people start these discussions because whether its the Chevy motors that most run or the New Roush-Yates motor, these things are so far from anything out of the factory and I would be suprised if you found a bolt on it that was actually from GM or Ford or Mopar. I've never understood in Nascar either putting a name like Camry or Impala or whatever on the bumper, the cars all look the same, and nothing like the namesake, its not like I watch the NASCAR race and say to myself after, boy I gotta go buy a Camry, them things really go. They should start putting brand names on the sprint cars like Corrola and Cruze, it makes about the same amount of sense. We are well past the years of these cars being anything close to factory so why keep doing it? Money I suppose.

This is probably the most intelligent post on this thread. And completely true. That is why there are people like Carol Shelby and Jack Roush out there who can provide the brains to the idiots at the big 3 companies so that they could compete. Ford, Chevy, Chrysler, if it carries a "Big 3" logo and it's fast you know that those idiots had nothing to do with it. But HEY, it's american made and we should all be proud (all Sarcasm intended)! The days of the logo meaning anything are long gone.

These days so much of what the Big 3 produce is made outside the US anyways. Quite a bit is made in Canada. Even the old Ford V8 is the Windsor which is where it was produced until Ford moved it to Cleveland.
I agree with the point that the logo means nothing these days

You are 100% correct, I hadn't noticed that I forgot to add the "Sarcasm" portion of my statement after the "Be proud that it is American" comment. That is until after I read your response. That was kind of my point, that Ford, Chevy, & Mopar are really just figments of our imagination any longer. But thanks for pointing that out, it is what I meant to say, but I missed the mark.

its funny this whole Ford vs chevy vs Mopar thing, I went through this phase years ago prior to the state unleashing me onto the local streets with my plastic card in my pocket and a tank of gas , I would have driven anything honestly back then !,, Many of you need to spend some valued time looking over todays sprint engine, regardless if its a chev, ford,or mopar design, the components are so far from being OEM product, its not even to be considered a "brand' of the big three american "born" manufactures. Chevrolet just happend to have the best platform to build economical HP from, Mopar valvetrain, humm? good idea! ,ideas are adapted from one maufacture to another , I really think the Names Callies,J&E,Brodix,Dart,Allpro,MSD,Engler,Del west,Comp Cams,Jesel,Dyers,CP,Cola,Barnes,KSE,ect, ect are the true manufactures worthy of chattn about .. Dust off your chiltons fellas, thier not the same engines anymore..

well i was a fan of David's before i found out that he "ran Mopar". I would still like to see him get some support from them since i spend so much $ on Mopar parts for my Roadrunner. In turn i would be "helping him"

Agree!
The only thing racing motors have in common with standard Chevy, Fords or MoPars are the firing order. Other than the firing order, EVERYTHING else is aftermarket right down to the valve covers!
