Have to say it was AWESOME to see a 16 year old kid blow by Schatz like he's a lapper and pull a half a straight on him and Saldana in that heat for the win. Who is this kid and please tell me he's running Knoxville all year.

He's from the northwest and he's run A WHOLE LOT out here in California, seems he got some good training before heading to Knoxville.
Cheers!

First time I saw him was last spring in California in Hanford and Tulare...would have been 15 then and I was kinda blown away by that...that was really cool to see him in knoxville and whooping up in his heat race...a lot of talent he blew out of the water there...don't think he will be there all year...most likely doing the same thing wheatley is doing if I had to guess..

Trey won a 360 race at Kings Speedway in Hanford Calif. a few weeks before he headed to Knoxville. Starks was fast that night also. He runs near the front when he runs with the KWS, which is hard for most drivers who show up from out of state.

This kid is very impressive. Starting on the front row in a loaded heat like that would be a ton of pressure. Then to win it with smooth clean driving...Wow. If this is his first time on a big half mile he's got plenty of guts also.

Knoxville Raceway website lists his hometown as Puyallup, WA. Near Seattle I believe.

Trey had raced on the half mile at Calistoga before. That doesn't detract from his impressive debut at Knoxville though.
Cheers!

He ran the half mile against the WoO at Calistoga last year, finished close to a top ten.. He's fast and fearless at Tulare too. He is going to be a force to reckon with!

Check out www.treystarksracing.com. His father John & Grandpa Arnie are both past WMRA Champions. I believe Arnie started racing midgets in the late 60's.
