1. #27, Brett Rollag(2) 2. #83v, Kyle Hirst(3) 3. #01, Richard Bailey(1) - apologies, the race was checkered after a yellow flag for the #x1 of Andy Forsberg on the white flag lap due to curfew. No announcement was made of the final finishing order. I beleive the #91 of Herman Klein was 4th followed by the #14s of Justin Sanders. Klein started 5th and Sanders 8th. Rollag weaved and diced through lap traffic keeping just enough distance to the furiously closing Hirst as the track got tougher to navigate over the final 5-7 laps.
34 cars signed in.
Klein was fastest in qualifying turning a lap of 13.008. It was much better to pull a high # for qualifying as Klein came out 28th, 2nd quick #57 of Billy Butler was 23rd on the track. 3rd quick the #84 of Kirk Simpson was 30th out. 4th quick Hirst was 27th and 5th fast Rollag hit the track 31st. It made Bailey's time at 6th fast all the more remarkable as he was the 1st car to test the clock.
Heat 1 was won the #52 of David Lindt, Jr. Heat 2 was captured by the #18 of Greg DeCaires. Heat 3 was all #2b of Jermey Burt. Hirst pounded the field in Heat 4 winning by a straightaway advantage from his 6th starting spot and turning some of the fastest laps on the night in the mid 12's.
Klein took the 12 lap B-Main, followed by the #17w of Cole Wood, #2sb of Sean Becker and #5c of Trent Canales. Final 2 transfers went to the #23 of Adam McCarthy and the #88 of Koen Shaw.
The #6 of Joe Stornetta won his 2nd straght Petaluma wingless spec sprint feature over a 10 car field. Wingless sprints running at Antioch tonight gave both tracks smallish car counts.

Good morning and thanks for the updates. You do great work with the quick result recaps.
The results were in fact given by myself as I had two people directly in front of me listening to me recap the finish of Rollag, Hirst, Bailey, Klein and Sanders as the top 5.
Also, the race was not called because of curfew. The white flag was displayed and the only flag displayed after the white will be the checkered. We do not do the NASCAR/WoO green, white, checkered should we have a yellow situation on the track on the white flag lap. We do not race to the yellow flag, therefore the race was checkered with the final lap being lap 29.
Hope that helped. Ron Lingron-Track Announcer
PS stop by the booth afterwards and I'll get you a printout of the results next time! I get so many people coming up there during the night sometimes I feel like the information desk..
Thanks again for the updates. You can never have enough feedback from the fans themselves.

This is the rule from the Civil War rules.....seems as if there should have been a restart.
White Flag 1. The white flag indicates one lap remaining in the event. 2. Should the race be stopped on the last lap, the restart will consist of two laps at green, white and then checkered on “A” mains ONLY.

Indeed it is and without getting into specifics, let's just all agree that Petaluma Speedway and Civil War officials understood that was where the race was going to end in that situation. Think we also can agree on the racing last night was top notch with the leaders all in traffic and doing what they do to near perfection.

Thanks for confirming the top 5 after the race Ron. I was sure of the top 3, but with leaders in heavy traffic and the race ending unexpectedy with the yellow (I fully expected a re-start) I was not prepared to look at the finishing order as they came across the line. Plus I was not 100% certain your announcement of the top 5 was official, so I figured it was better to be cautious. If you can announce the finishing order post race it would be a big help for people like myself who like to keep track.
Petaluma Gumbo was hooked up again....there were some drivers who had a pretty good workout.
