So the weather is starting to look alittle more promising now and they should run. Knoxville is running ads "Knoxville vs. WoO". I like it, perhaps Knoxville could put up some little bonus cash for top finishing regular or even winning. I think the regulars best shot to win would be Dombmier. Wonder what others thoughts are on this subject?

McCarl, Zomer and Dobmeier are the best chance for a regular to win.
I'd say McCarl and Zomer have a better shot at it though (Dobmeier stunk it up in qualifying a majority of the year last year, and if you don't qualify good with the Outlaws, you've pretty much screwed yourself out of a chance to win with their format.
I like the marketing aspect. If a local (any of them) can pull off a win, it should help sell tickets to the weekly events to those that only come when the Outlaws are in town (becuase the racing is superior (sarcasm intended)).

Lets not forget about Heskin's nice run at the Nats a couple of years ago, but yes, I'd say of the regulars the top 4 include TMAC, Zomer, Mark D, and Brian Brown.

TMac, Zomer, Dobmeier, and don't forget Lasoski. Agreed that Heskin is a contender, and he can qualify well. Lynton Jeffrey was fastest at practice night so don't count him out. I'm sure in the end it will be Sammy or Schatz winning.

Lasoski and Brown aren't running for Kville points. Hard for me to consider them "locals"

Dobmeier beat them once at the Nationals last year, and he beat them a few years back in Wilmot...McCarl and Lasoski have beat them too...Brown and Zomer are right there as well as several others if the dash lines up right...should be a fast track on a cool night...

Brown and Lasoski are locals... running for points or not. Both consider themselves Knoxville regulars. Until they decide to run another series full time or in PA, CA or otherwise for points they are Knoxville locals.

I just hope the track isn't "too fast". Should be a cool night, so those engines will be pumping some power!

Yes - 'joint effort' with DV & T2Media = $17.99 for video

I wonder if with the fast track and cool temps they could get close to the track record. I believe Lynton was around 14.5s last week at practice. Hopefully the track isnt too heavy, that can be just as bad a show sometimes as a rubbered track.

lol, if only this was the standard in PA as well. But yes, I agree they are definitely locals. The Knoxville local group proved once again last year at Nationals that they are a tough, deep field. They always seem to perform better at Nationals than at their WoO shows, but hey who wouldn't want to do that? Probably has something to do with the fact this is also their season opener. Good to see more local fields being able to compete with the traveling series. It makes for good racing/competition and brings the fans to the track.
