While I'm not sure that any explanation is really needed, considering the long, sordid history of "misunderstandings" of one sort or another on Internet forums of =all= kinds, here's one about the Updated USAC WC 360 Car # / Color / Driver / Hometown Roster to which Lance's post may or may not be a reaction...
I make up various rosters so that I can better tell what I'm looking at when I'm in the stands and cannot hear what the announcers are saying above the engine noise. I share the work with the others here on the Forum so that they can copy and paste it into a an MS Word document, print it and take it with them to the track for the same reason. (I have been asked for copies of my own =many= times.)
I do not do it to claim any official status, much as I make it entirely clear when I post the results of the shows I attend that those results are "UNOFFICIAL." Lance is required to post =official= results that sometimes require considerable time and effort to verify, and it may be well into the wee hours of the morning before they are available.
Having watched the viewer counts, it seems clear that there are quite a few people who enjoy getting at least an un-official rundown before they hit the rack for the night. Thank you for your indulgence.
