I am a huge fan of tim shaffer and it really sucks to see him strugglin. The egos of the owners really suck, they tear apart one of the most successful teams in sprint car racing over the last couple years. I hope they get over themselves and get Brian back or get someone else who can help. Tim proved he deserves a quality team. Hopefully there is another ride out there that would appreciate a driver who is obviously one of the top 5 or so in the country. JMO

i wondered how it would effect Tim losing his crew chief. It's a shame.

Just my opinion, but I think Brian is probably a top 5 crew chief, and Tim is a top 20 driver. Look at what Chad and Brian were doing when they were together. Four All Star titles, plus they were close at the Royal and Knoxville

Tim was asked before the release of Brian from the team if he was okay with it and he said yes. Get facts before you bash owners especially ones who gave Tim a ride when he didnt have one.

From the outside looking in, it seems like Brian knows how to make cars go really fast but doesn't know how to work with people and it wears on drivers and owners. The guy has All Star championships, Outlaw wins, a Knoxville Nationals win and yet he can't seem to keep a job. I can't imagine working with Greg Wilson is a step up from the 83 team.

What have been the reasons for the break ups over the years. The UUI team with Chad was on the verge of winning some bigs races, then everything kinda fell apart. Or did that have to do with John Bores promoting Attica, the WOO/NST split, or the car owners kid starting to race?

I have too agree!!! I think what we are seeing in CH Motorsports is that the other side of the fence isn't always better!!! That being said, the season is just starting, I think we all need to give this a chance to see if it will work, ( the new CH Motorsports). Maybe the guys ( Tim/crew just need a few weeks/months to jell). Let's just all sit back and see what the next few weeks bring!!!

Sorry didnt really want to bash the owners just saying Tim has far surpassed his end of the deal and i think he deserves a fair shot.

Who did the CH Motorsports bring in as a crew chief?
It will be interesting to see how successful Wilson is. This could make for an interesting year for All Star points with Blaney, Gravel, and Shaffer.

Heck Brian was steeling them blind. he was always selling thing at a cheap price and putting the cash in his pocket. I know of several cars with C and H parts on them. Thats why he not there now you tell me would you keep him around BEWARE 20W

well when Brian was there he opened to worlds eyes to how good Shaffer can be. before he came along i thought Tim was a mid pack racer at best. I WAS WRONG. They were a team that could win any given night with anyone. I hope it all works out for Tim and the team.

Based on all the posts above I would think they would not run against the outlaws. But you never know.

The team wasn't racing last week and again not racing this week. Does this seem weird? Tim races for a living, can't make money sittin on the couch? Are the owners tryin to get him to quit? Hope somethin better comes along soon for Tim? I think he earned respect, maybe someone else can show him some?

This said back in feb that they only have two motors and they want to save them for the allstar. They are racing for the championship.

They didn't race EVERY week last year either. They are allowed to take time off if they want.
